The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), more commonly known as the International Baccalaureate (IB), is a nonprofit foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1968. It offers four educational programmes: the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme for students aged 15 to 19, the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16, and the IB Primary Years Programme for children aged three to 12. To teach these programmes, schools must be authorized by the International Baccalaureate.

It was developed in the early-to-mid-1960s in Geneva, Switzerland, by a group of international educators. After a six-year pilot programme that ended in 1975, a bilingual diploma was established.

Vienna International School (VIS) is a non-profit international school in Vienna, Austria. The school was built to accommodate the children of United Nations (UN) employees and diplomats when the UN decided to locate one of its offices in Vienna, and it remains affiliated to the UN. About 50% of students are children of UN employees and receive education grants, while much of the remaining students are children mainly of embassy staff and company staff. The school has an enrollment of 1400 students, from pre-primary to twelfth grade.

BISW educates pupils between the ages of 2 and 18. BISW was originally founded in September 1998 by Dr. Lesley Stagg. In 2013, BISW joined Nord Anglia Education, an international education provider owned by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. As of 2019, Nord Anglia operated 66 international schools in 30 countries with over 61,000 students. BISW leases property from Georgetown University, yet GU's Green Building was purchased in 2009 by the entity that is now HUB Properties Trust.

Hirschi Math/Science International Baccalaureate Magnet High School, commonly known as Hirschi High School or HHS, is a four-year public high school in Wichita Falls, Texas, located at 3106 Borton Lane. It is an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Diploma (IBDP) and Middle Years Program (MYP) to students wishing to pursue advanced academic study in mathematics, science, English, Spanish, French, history, and the arts. Hirschi, an award-winning member of the Magnet Schools of America Association, also offers its students hands-on instruction in aviation, studio/visual art, and nursing. Hirschi has an enrollment of 850 students and is overseen by the Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD) and the Texas Education Agency.

Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School (GMIS), formerly Gandhi Memorial International School, is a private international school with campuses in Jakarta, Bali, and Semarang, Indonesia. The primary campus, GMIS Jakarta, has more than 2,000 enrolled students from over 50 countries, largely Indonesian, Indian, Korean, and Chinese. It was established in 1950 alongside Gandhi School Ancol but relocated to Kemayoran, Central Jakarta in 2004. The 2006 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup, sometimes called the Al Amoudi Senior Challenge Cup due to being sponsored by Ethiopian millionaire Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi, was the 30th edition of the international football tournament, which involved teams from Southern and Central Africa. The matches were all played in Addis Ababa from 25 November to 10 December. It was competed between the same teams as the previous tournament, except for Eritrea, who did not enter due to their long-running clash with Ethiopia regarding borders, and Kenya, the five-time champions, were serving a ban which was issued on 18 October 2006, which was then an indefinite from international football by the decree of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, or FIFA; this after Kenya "regularly violated or ignored" "Fifa's statutes, regulations and decisions". Malawi and Zambia joined the tournament after being invited, and competed as guest teams as they were from the federation Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA), whereas the rest of the teams were from the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA). The reasoning behind their invitation was that it would "boost the competitiveness of this year's tournament". The defending champions, Ethiopia, were knocked out in the quarter-finals after coming second in their group, and Sudan claimed their second title despite being beaten by Zambia, as Zambia were guests.

International School Suva (ISS) is an independent, co-educational day school in Laucala Beach Estate in Suva, Fiji, offers preschool, primary and secondary education. The curriculum provided at International School Suva includes the International Baccalaureate, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the Australian Capital Territory Senior Secondary Certificate (ACT) and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). The school was funded in 1973, and it provides an education for around 500 students representing over 40 different nations from preschool to secondary school. There are currently 80 staff, with 35 from local Fijian community and 11 from North America and the United Kingdom. ISS is the only international school that delivers the International Baccalaureate programme in Fiji. In addition, all year 11 and year 12 students are expected to complete either the Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) programme or the Creative, Action, Service (CAS) programme as one of the extracurricular programmes.
