Oasis are an English rock band from Manchester. Formed in 1991, the group originally included vocalist Liam Gallagher, guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, bassist Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan and drummer Tony McCarroll, although the quartet were soon joined by guitarist and second vocalist Noel Gallagher, older brother of Liam. [1] They released their debut album Definitely Maybe in 1994, the material for which was entirely written by Noel Gallagher. [2] Standalone single "Whatever" was issued later in the year, [3] which was later co-credited to Neil Innes due to plagiarism. [4] The band's second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory? , their first with new drummer Alan White, followed in 1995. [5] All songs were again credited to Noel Gallagher, although opening track "Hello" was co-credited to Gary Glitter and Mike Leander due to its use of lyrics from Glitter's single "Hello, Hello, I'm Back Again". [6] Oasis released their third album Be Here Now in 1997, which was their last to be written entirely by Noel Gallagher. [7]

Bonehead and Guigsy both left Oasis in 1999, leaving the Gallagher brothers and White to record the band's next album alone. [1] Standing on the Shoulder of Giants was released in 2000, featuring the first song written by Liam Gallagher for the band, "Little James". [8] After adding new band members Gem Archer on guitar and Andy Bell on bass, the group released Heathen Chemistry in 2002, which featured songwriting contributions from all band members except White, including the first single not written by Noel Gallagher (Liam's "Songbird"). [9] White left in 2004, with the Who touring drummer Zak Starkey taking his place as an unofficial member. [1] Don't Believe the Truth was released in 2005, with both Gallaghers, Archer and Bell all writing songs for the album again. [10] Noel Gallagher's "Who Put the Weight of the World on My Shoulders?" was contributed to the soundtrack for the film Goal! in 2005, [11] and the following year "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" was released as a single from the film of the same name. [12]

Oasis released their latest album Dig Out Your Soul in 2008, which featured six songs written by Noel Gallagher, three by Liam Gallagher, and one each by Archer and Bell. [13] Starkey was replaced by Chris Sharrock after the album was recorded. [1] After a confrontation with Liam backstage, Noel Gallagher announced his departure from Oasis in August 2009, with the remaining members forming Beady Eye together the following year. [1] Here are the 137 songs that have been recorded and released by Oasis.

"Don't Look Back in Anger" is a song by English rock band Oasis. It was written by the band's lead guitarist and chief songwriter Noel Gallagher, and produced by Gallagher and Owen Morris. Released on 19 February 1996 by Creation Records as the fifth single from their second studio album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), it became Oasis's second single to reach number one on the UK Singles Chart, earning a quintuple-platinum sales certification in the UK. It was the first Oasis single with lead vocals by Noel, who had previously only sung lead on B-sides, instead of his brother Liam. Noel would later sing lead vocals on six other singles. The music video was directed by Nigel Dick, featuring the band performing at a mansion where a large group of women appears.

Why Me? Why Not. 2019 studio album by Liam Gallagher

Why Me? Why Not. is the second solo studio album by English musician Liam Gallagher, released on 20 September 2019 by Warner Records, a day before his 47th birthday. The album's lead single "Shockwave" became one of Gallagher's biggest solo hits, the best selling vinyl single of 2019 in the UK, and his first solo single to top a chart in general after reaching No. 1 in Scotland. The album received generally positive reviews from critics and debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, achieving silver certification in its first week and later being certified gold.

Don't Stop... 2020 single by Oasis

"Don't Stop..." is a song by the English rock band Oasis. Released as a single on 30 April 2020, it was the band's first track in over 11 years, following their 2009 single "Falling Down". Written and sung by Noel Gallagher, the song is a lo-fi acoustic demo of an unreleased track believed to have been originally recorded in the mid-2000s. The song's exact date of recording is unknown, but music journalist Alexis Petridis speculates it was intended for either the Don't Believe the Truth or Dig Out Your Soul albums, recorded with Oasis. Gallagher has since recorded a studio version of the song for the deluxe edition of the fourth Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds album, Council Skies.
