A spa town is a resort town based on a mineral spa. Patrons visit spas to "take the waters" for their purported health benefits.

Sérres is a city in Macedonia, Greece, capital of the Serres regional unit and third largest city in the region of Central Macedonia, after Thessaloniki and Katerini.
Kastro-Kyllini is a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Andravida-Kyllini, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 49.322 km2. The population was 3,622 in 2011. The municipality Kastro-Kyllini was created in 1999 as part of the Kapodistrias reform from the formerly independent communities Kyllini, Kato Panagia, Kastro and Neochori, that became municipal districts. After the 2011 Kallikratis reform, these municipal districts became (dependent) communities. Its seat of administration was the small port town of Kyllini.
A resort is a self-contained commercial establishment that tries to provide most of a vacationer's wants, such as food, drink, swimming, accommodation, sports, entertainment and shopping, on the premises. A hotel is frequently a central feature of a resort and the term resort may be used for a hotel that provides an array of entertainment and recreational activities. Some resorts are also condominium complexes that are timeshares or owned fractionally or wholly owned condominium. A resort is not always a commercial establishment operated by a single company, but in the late 20th century, that sort of facility became more common.
Vartholomio is a town and a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Pineios, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 60.696 km2. Its population was 5,899 in 2011, of which 3,603 lived in the town proper. The municipal unit covers the southern part of the hilly Kyllini peninsula, and the plains to the southeast. The town Vartholomio is in the plains, on the right bank of the river Pineios, which flows into the Ionian Sea south of the town.
The Thracian Sea is the northernmost part of the Aegean Sea. It is bounded by Macedonia and Thrace as well as northwestern Turkey. The entire area of the sea lies north of the 40th parallel. Its length from east to west is from 23°E to about 25.8°E, or from the Strymonian Gulf east to the northernmost part of the Gallipoli peninsula and the width from north to south is about 40.25°N to 41°N, or from the Dardanelles north to the boundary between the Xanthi and the Rhodope regional units. Islands includes Thasos and Samothrace in Greece and Gökçeada in Turkey. In the south, the sea extends to the north coast of the island of Lemnos. The bays and gulfs includes the Ierissian Gulf to the southwest, the Strymonian Gulf where the Strymon River empties, the Kavala Gulf and the Saros Gulf in Turkey. Rivers emptying into this portion of the gulf include the Nestos and the Evros/Meriç. The famous thermal springs are Loutra Eleftheron in Kavala.

The municipality Kythnos is 100.187 km2 (38.68 sq mi) in area and has a coastline of about 100 km (62 mi). Mount Kakovolo is island's highest peak (365m).

Aidipsos is a village and a former municipality in Euboea, Greece. The municipality Aidipsos was founded in 1997 by the merger of the municipality Loutra Aidipsou with the communities Agios and Gialtra. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Istiaia-Aidipsos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 115.461 km2. 80 of Greece's 752 hot springs are located in Aidipsos, making it a popular tourist destination. The spas date back more than 20,000 years. In 2011 the population was 6,141. Many famous personalities have visited the town, such as Lucius Cornelius Sulla, Sir Winston Churchill, Eleutherios Venizelos, Theodoros Deligiannis, Georgios Theotokis, Ioannis Kondilakis, Archbishop of Athens Theocletus I, Aristotelis Onassis, Maria Callas, Kostis Palamas, Marika Kotopouli and others. Within the modern borders of the municipal units are the remains of ancient town of Aedepsus.
Sidirokastro is a town and a former municipality in the Serres regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Sintiki, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It is built near the fertile valley of the river Strymonas, on the bank of the Krousovitis River. Sidirokastro is situated on the European route E79 and the main road from northern Greece (Thessaloniki) to Bulgaria. It has a number of tourist sights, such as the medieval stone castle, Byzantine ruins, and natural spas.

Lygia is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Vartholomio, Elis, Greece. Its population in 2011 was 286 for the village and 787 for the community, which includes the villages Arkoudi, Glyfa, Ioniki and Paralia. Lygia is situated in the low hills of the southern part of the Kyllini peninsula, 3 km from the Ionian Sea. It is 4 km southeast of Kastro, 4 km east of Loutra Kyllinis and 4 km west of Vartholomio.
The Vartholomio – Loutra Kyllinis railway line was a meter gauge railway line of the Piraeus, Athens and Peloponnese Railways (SPAP). It branched off the Kavasila–Kyllini railway line at the railway station of Vartholomio, 1 km north of the town at km 5.895 of that line.
Loutrochori(on) (Greek: Λουτροχώρι(οv) meaning "bath town"; formerly Paina, Πάινα and Bania, Μπάνια meaning "baths") is a village in the Pella regional unit, of Macedonia in Greece. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of 458, its area is 7.506 km2, and its population density is 62.08 per km2. The village is on a hill and thus it has a view of the surrounding countryside.
Loutra is a traditional seaside settlement and a port in Kythnos, Greece. It is located on the NE part of the island, 5km away from Chora, and 11km from the port of Merihas. Loutra is home to 81 people. The main occupations of the residents are tourism-related services and fishing.
