Roundy's Supermarkets is an American supermarket operator. It owns and operates stores under the names of Pick 'n Save, Metro Market, and Mariano's Fresh Market. The chain is a subsidiary of Kroger. Roundy's operates 149 supermarkets and 107 pharmacies throughout the states of Wisconsin and Illinois. Based on fiscal year 2012 sales, Roundy's was the 37th largest grocery store chain and the 89th largest retailer in the United States. As of December 2015, Roundy's became a subsidiary of Kroger of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Baumax AG was an Austrian chain of home improvement stores. It was founded in 1976 by Karlheinz Essl Sr. in the city of Klosterneuburg and operated more than 150 stores in Austria and several countries of Eastern Europe. As of 2010, the company employed over 9,000 people and generated an annual revenue of 1.13 billion euros. When the business came into financial trouble during the financial crisis of 2008–2009, it was finally broken up by creditors in 2015/16.

NorgesGruppen ASA is a Norwegian grocery wholesaling group which also runs various retail outlets. With a 43,2 % market share in 2018, NorgesGruppen was the largest player in the Norwegian grocery retail market. The business dates back to 1866 when the wholesale activity started up in the name of Joh. Johannson. NorgesGruppen is frequently accused of abusing its dominant market position in Norway to limit competition in the sector and has been fined by the Norwegian Competition Authority for these practices.

Tmall, formerly Taobao Mall, is a Chinese-language website for business-to-consumer (B2C) online retail, spun off from Taobao, operated in China by Alibaba Group. It is a platform for local Chinese and international businesses to sell brand-name goods to consumers in Greater China. It has over 500 million monthly active users, as of February 2018. In the last few years, it has opened its features to brands, not only for online sales but also for developing brand awareness. According to Alexa Rank, it is the third most visited website globally in 2021.

Minipreço is a discount supermarket chain in Portugal, part of Auchan Portugal. Minipreço is one of the largest grocery chains in Portugal by store count, with 443 outlets in the country, second to Pingo Doce, which had 470 stores. The company is seventh in the country in terms of market share, having been eclipsed by Spanish chain, Mercadona in 2022.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Makro (Uzbekistan)</span> Uzbek supermarket chain

Makro is an Uzbek supermarket chain headquartered in Tashkent. The company operates a network of 108 stores across 25 urban areas in Uzbekistan, making it the country's largest food retailer by store count. The company has 3,500 employees. Makro claims to command 20% of market share in Tashkent and around 5% of market share nationally. The company's main competitors are Korzinka.uz, another local supermarket chain, and foreign retailers that have recently entered the Uzbek market, including French multinational player Carrefour, and Kazakh company Magnum. Around 20% of Makro's merchandise is the chain's in-house brand, called “M,” while 53% of merchandise is produced in Uzbekistan. In July 2021, Retail Asia Awards announced Makro won the 2021 Domestic Retailer of the Year and Convenience Store of the Year for Uzbekistan. Makro is owned by the Orient Group of companies. In June 2022, the CEO Roman left the Group to pursue his own projects.
