This is a list of supermarket chains in the Netherlands . On 1 January 2022 there were 6.390 supermarkets in the Netherlands. A 4.4 percent increase over the previous year (2021). [1] In number of stores, Albert Heijn is the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands followed by Jumbo and PLUS. [2]

The chain went public in 1948 and opened its first self-service store in 1952 and first supermarket in 1955. The company grew through acquisitions and in 1973 became part of Ahold NV, which helped it expand into foreign markets. The company faced a decline in market share in 2003, but expanded into Belgium and the Caribbean, but withdrew from the German market in 2018. |

Museon is a museum for science and culture in The Hague, Netherlands, with a strong focus on education. It regularly presents exhibitions on a range of topics related to the environment, geography or cultural identity. It has an extensive collections in the domains of geology, biology, archaeology, history, science and ethnology. The name Museon is a shortening of the museum's original extended Dutch name - Museum ten bate van het Onderwijs. Since 2022, the museum has been merged with the nearby cinema Omniversum, and goes by the name Museon-Omniversum: One Planet
Daarlerveen is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Hellendoorn, about 2 km south of the town of Vroomshoop.

Formido bouwmarkten B.V. was a Dutch Hardware store-chain. Formido opened its first store on 22 November 1976 in Waddinxveen. It was part of the franchise-organisation Maxeda, which headquarters is located in Amsterdam. As of 2011 Formido had 80 stores, all of which were located in the Netherlands. Of these stores, 15 were managed by Formido and 65 were franchised. Maxeda also owns the Hardware store-chain Praxis and Brico.
Coöperatieve Inkoop Vereniging Superunie B.A. is a Dutch wholesale purchasing cooperative among 14 supermarket companies. Several of these 14 represent multiple supermarket formulas. In total Superunie supplies about 1800 stores. Superunie has a Dutch marketshare of about 30%.
Overdinkel is a village in the Twente region of the eastern Netherlands, in the municipality of Losser. It is named for the nearby river Dinkel. Its population in 2012 was 4,255. The territories of the Netherlands and the German Länder of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony meet at a point to the east of Overdinkel.
Reinier van Lanschot is a Dutch politician. In 2018, he co-founded Volt Netherlands with Laurens Dassen and has since served its chairman. He was the party's top candidate for the European Parliament in the 2019 election. Van Lanschot was elected to the co-presidency of Volt Europa at the 2019 General Assembly in Sofia, 12–13 October 2019.
The Dutch farmers' protests are a series of demonstrations by Dutch livestock farmers, characterised by the use of tractors to block roads, and occupy public spaces. The protests were initially triggered in October 2019 by a proposal in parliament to halve the country's livestock in an attempt to limit agricultural pollution in the Netherlands, but protesting farmers have frequently told media that they are motivated by a perceived lack of respect for their profession by the Dutch populace, media and politicians. The protests combined several action groups and an amalgamation of larger goals, which included less government regulation for farmers, more air time for pro-farmer sentiments, and more policy to punish Shell and Tata Steel for their part in the emission crisis.
The Tomb of Lepejou is the oldest Muslim burial site in the Netherlands, dating back to 1828. The grave is located on the Huize Arnichem Estate outside the hamlet of Haerst, which is under the municipal jurisdiction of Zwolle.

Harry Piekema is a Dutch actor, director and voice actor. His most famous role was as Van Dalen in the commercials of Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn. He played this role from 2004 until 2015.
