Nu metal is a subgenre of alternative metal that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, funk, industrial, and grunge. Nu metal rarely features guitar solos or other displays of musical technique, and emphasizes rhythm with instrumentation that is heavily syncopated. Nu metal guitarists typically use seven-string guitars that are down-tuned to produce a heavier sound. Vocal styles are often rhythmic and influenced by hip hop, and include singing, rapping, screaming and sometimes growling. DJs are occasionally featured to provide instrumentation such as sampling, turntable scratching and electronic background music. Nu metal is one of the key genres of the new wave of American heavy metal.

Life Is Peachy is the second studio album by American nu metal band Korn. It was released on October 15, 1996, through both Immortal Records and Epic Records. After the release of Korn's 1994 self-titled debut album, the band reunited with Ross Robinson to produce and went back to Indigo Ranch Studios to record. Life Is Peachy features such themes as drugs, social encounters, sex, betrayal, and revenge. The album has fourteen tracks, excluding the hidden track after "Kill You". Martin Riedl photographed its cover art, and its title is credited to Korn's bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu. Life Is Peachy was Korn's first significant breakthrough, which came from constant touring after the debut album's release and building a fan base, thus fueling great expectations.

He then became the drummer for Infinika, which was formed in 2012 and disbanded in 2015. As of 2019, Silveria was the drummer of a band called Breaking in a Sequence (B.I.A.S).

The album also includes documentary, backstage videos, and interviews with the band. The first 70,000 copies of Live on the Other Side contained a voucher that gave opportunity to be exchanged for two tickets for the 2006 edition of the Family Values Tour. The title Live on the Other Side, at the time, suggested that the band would play most of the songs from their album See You on the Other Side, but Korn only ended up playing four.

Alone I Play is a live album by Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis, released on 10 November 2007. It was recorded and videotaped at Malibu's Woodshed Recorder on 7 November 2007, the day before Davis embarked on his first solo tour, the Alone I Play tour. The album was recorded and packaged in CD and DVD formats and prepared for sale in no longer than three days, where it is sold at venues where Davis performs.

The album features a return to their roots. It is their first album since 1996's Life Is Peachy to be produced by Ross Robinson, as well as their first to feature drummer Ray Luzier, who was previously a fill-in member.

The song was also released as the lead single from the album on July 22, 2016, reaching number 4 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart and number 26 on the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart. It was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
