Live Sentence (1984) is the only live album released by the American heavy metal band Alcatrazz featuring the band's original line-up. The live concert recorded for the album was performed on 28 January 1984 at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo. In addition to tracks from Alcatrazz's debut album, No Parole from Rock 'n" Roll , the album includes performances by Alcatrazz of songs from the Rainbow album Down to Earth recorded and released when Graham Bonnet, Alcatrazz's singer and primary lyricist, was the lead singer of Rainbow. According to Billboard , the album spent 16 weeks on the chart and peaked at No. 133. [3]

Hiroshima mon amour is a 1959 French New Wave romantic drama film directed by French film director Alain Resnais with a screenplay by Marguerite Duras. Resnais' first feature-length work, the film is a co-production between France and Japan, and documents a series of intensely personal nonlinear conversations over a 36-hour long period between a French actress, Elle, and a Japanese architect, Lui.

Alcatrazz is a heavy metal band formed in 1983 by Graham Bonnet, Jimmy Waldo, and Gary Shea. Following an internal disagreement and split in 2020, there are currently two separate and distinct Alcatrazz line-ups, one featuring Bonnet, and another featuring Waldo and Shea. Alcatrazz are best known for their songs "Island in the Sun", "Hiroshima Mon Amour", and "God Blessed Video". The band went through a number of line-up changes, with Bonnet being the only member to be in every incarnation of Alcatrazz. They are also notable for featuring a previously-unknown Yngwie Malmsteen, who was the guitarist of Alcatrazz during 1983–1984, and was subsequently replaced by Steve Vai, and Danny Johnson in the original incarnation of the band up until 1987. Joe Stump became the Alcatrazz guitarist when the band reformed, and remains the guitarist in the Waldo-Shea line-up of Alcatrazz. In June 2021, Jeff Loomis was announced as the guitarist in the Bonnet line-up of Alcatrazz.

Graham Bonnet English singer-songwriter

Graham Bonnet is an English rock singer and songwriter. He has recorded and performed as a solo artist and as a member of several hard rock and heavy metal bands including Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Alcatrazz, and Impellitteri. He is known for his powerful singing voice but is capable of also singing soft melodies. His singing has been noted as 'very loud' by both his contemporaries and himself, and he claims to be a self-taught singer with 'no discipline for lessons'. Bonnet's visual style, considered uncharacteristic of hard rock musicians, has been described as being a cross between Don Johnson in Miami Vice and James Dean.

Nouvelle Vague is a French cover band led by musicians Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin. No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll is the first album by American heavy metal band Alcatrazz led by veteran singer Graham Bonnet, released in 1983. It spent seven weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, peaking at No. 128. It is considered by fans of the group to be the best Alcatrazz release and launched guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen into a glittering solo career. The album is most famous for the singles "Island in the Sun" and "Jet to Jet". Other notable offerings are "Hiroshima Mon Amour", for which a video was shot, "General Hospital" and "Incubus", a solo by Yngwie J. Malmsteen he continued to play during his solo career. It has always had a strong following in Japan and songs from it can still be found in karaoke bars today.

<i>Supergroup</i> (TV series) TV series

Supergroup was a 2006 reality show on VH1 that followed five well-known hard rock and heavy metal musicians over a 12-day period during which they lived together in a Las Vegas mansion owned by Nico Santucci in order to create, plan and perform a live show together. The show, which aired in seven segments, starred band members Sebastian Bach, Jason Bonham, Scott Ian, Ted Nugent and Evan Seinfeld. Doc McGhee, who had previously worked with Bach and his band Skid Row, appeared as the band's manager.

"Winter" is a song by the English rock and roll band the Rolling Stones featured on their 1973 album Goats Head Soup. Credited to singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, "Winter" is actually the work of Jagger and the Stones' lead guitarist at the time, Mick Taylor. It was the first song recorded for the album and does not feature Richards.

ROckWrok 1977 single by Ultravox!

"ROckWrok" is a single by the post-punk band Ultravox!, released on 7 October 1977 by Island Records. It was the last British non-free single released from the Ha! Ha! Ha! album and featuring Stevie Shears as guitarist. The next non-free single was Frozen Ones, released only in Germany shortly afterwards.

Polyphonic Size is a Belgian new wave band founded in 1979 in Brussels by Roger-Marc Vande Voorde. Mixing electric guitars and synthesizers with French and English lyrics, most of Polyphonic Size records were produced by Jean-Jacques Burnel, from The Stranglers.

Lunch. Drunk. Love is the ninth studio album by American rock band Bowling for Soup, released on September 10, 2013, through Brando Records and Que-so. The album was completely fan-funded, as well as being released on the band's own record label like their previous album. The band has released music videos for the songs "Real", "Right About Now", "Envy" and "Circle". "Circle" is also the first single off this record. The album charted at number 142 on the Billboard 200.
