John Symon Asher Bruce was a Scottish bassist, singer-songwriter, musician and composer. He gained popularity as the co-lead vocalist and bass guitarist of British rock band Cream. After the group disbanded in 1968, he pursued a solo career and also played with several bands.

Kevin Ayers was an English singer-songwriter who was a major influential force in the English psychedelic music movement. Ayers was a founding member of the pioneering psychedelic band Soft Machine in the mid-1960s, and was closely associated with the Canterbury scene. He recorded a series of albums as a solo artist and over the years worked with Brian Eno, Syd Barrett, Bridget St John, John Cale, Elton John, Robert Wyatt, Andy Summers, Mike Oldfield, Nico and Ollie Halsall, among others. After living for many years in Deià, Majorca, he returned to the United Kingdom in the mid-1990s before moving to the south of France. His last album, The Unfairground, was released in 2007. The British rock journalist Nick Kent wrote: "Kevin Ayers and Syd Barrett were the two most important people in British pop music. Everything that came after came from them."
Michael Kevin Taylor is an English musician, best known as a former member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (1967–69) and The Rolling Stones (1969–74). He has appeared on some of the Stones' classic albums, including Let It Bleed (1969), Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! "Careful with That Axe, Eugene" is an instrumental piece by the British rock band Pink Floyd. The studio recording, first released in 1968 as the B-side to the single "Point Me at the Sky" also featured on the 1971 compilation album Relics. Live versions can be found on various releases, the most well-known of which from the 1969 double-album Ummagumma. Pink Floyd re-recorded the track for the 1970 film Zabriskie Point, retitling it "Come In Number 51, Your Time Is Up" on the film's soundtrack album. The track was one of several to be considered for the band's 2001 "best of" album, Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd, but it was ultimately omitted. Various versions, both live and studio recordings, were made available as part of the 2016 box set The Early Years 1965–1972.
Medicine Head was a British blues rock band – initially a duo – active in the 1970s. Their biggest single success was in 1973, with "One and One Is One," a Number 3-hit on the UK Singles Chart. The group recorded six original albums; the opening trio of which were on John Peel's Dandelion label.
"Stay" is a song written and recorded by English singer-songwriter David Bowie in 1975 for the album Station to Station, released in January the following year. It was based on the funky guitar lick that dominates the track and which was invented by guitarist Earl Slick during the sessions for the album. In July 1976, the song was released as a single by RCA in the United States.

Cavaliers: An Anthology 1973–1974 is a remastered four-disc box-set anthology by Cockney Rebel, released in 2012. The set chronicles the recording career of the original line-up of Cockney Rebel, between 1973 and 1974. It includes both of the band's albums The Human Menagerie (1973) and The Psychomodo (1974), as well as all the singles and non-album B-Sides. It also features early alternative versions and mixes of tracks from both albums, as well as live sessions for the BBC, including a John Peel session and on the Old Grey Whistle Test.
