Secondary Programs
The AP program is a program of enrichment gearing students for advanced standing or placement in affiliated Universities. Successful completion of this four-year program will distinguish students for scholarship opportunities and provide opportunities to obtain first-year University accreditation.
French Immersion Language Courses - Lively District Secondary School offers 4 French Immersion Language Courses. These courses include Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 Français.
The Specialist High Skills Major in Environment provides students with a focus on sustainability in a range of future careers and personal lifestyle choices that lead to the concept, "enough for all forever". As a gold-certified Ontario Eco-school with a depth of staff and community expertise in the Environment, students can look forward to engaging project work leading to coop placements, employment, college or university studies in programs focused on the Environment.
The Specialist High Skills Major in Mining focuses on students whose pathways include university, college and apprenticeship programs. Part of the curriculum focus will provide co-operative education programs and sector certifications, helping students acquire essential knowledge and skills for direct entry into mining-related programs at University and College or mining-related Apprenticeships.
The Specialist High Skills Major in Health and Wellness provides opportunities for students to gain sector certifications as personal trainers, in first aid and CPR. Part of the curriculum focus will provide co-operative education programs helping students acquire essential knowledge and skills for direct entry into health-related programs at University and College or related Apprenticeships.
The Essentials Work Skills Program is a four-year program providing instruction for the student who has difficulties meeting the demands of the regular secondary school program. Programming is offered at the Essentials / Workplace levels. Students receive an Ontario Secondary School Diploma upon completion of year four. Students may choose destination opportunities in the Workplace.
The Transition Program is a four-year program that provides instruction for the student who has significant difficulties meeting the academic demands of the regular secondary school program. The emphasis of this program is on the transition to the workplace and the enhancement of independent living skills. Students receive a Certificate of Accomplishment upon completion of the four-year program.
Curricular and Co-Curricular Programs are designed to be challenging and flexible while providing meaningful instruction and experience to all participants. The school believes that the home and the community are essential for the total education and self-realization of every student. With them, the school shares the responsibility to develop excellence in each individual so far as his / her ability permits.
St. Joseph Secondary School, colloquially known as St. Joe's is a Catholic high school located in the Streetsville community of Mississauga, Ontario. The school is administered by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. St. Joseph Secondary School is one of few schools in the province of Ontario to offer Pre-Advanced Placement courses starting in grade 9 while most schools offer the option of Advanced Placement (AP) level classes in grade 12. Students who graduate in any course with an AP level exam completed will earn university level credits in said course. The school is also a provider of the Business and Transportation Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM), granting students who complete the major with a Ontario Secondary School Diploma including a recognized seal for employment opportunities after graduation.
Unionville High School is a public high school of the York Region District School Board in Ontario, Canada. It is located west of the community of Unionville in the city of Markham. The school is located next to the Markham Civic Centre and the Markham Theatre.
J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate is a secondary school in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. J. Clarke Richardson is run under the Durham District School Board. Bluevale Collegiate Institute is a secondary school in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, run by the Waterloo Region District School Board. As of the 2019–2020 school year, Bluevale has an enrollment of 1,240 students. The school opened in 1972 under the direction of principal Robert Chilton, and vice-principal Charlie Wilson, initially with grades 9 through 11, adding grades 12, and then 13 in subsequent years. Bluevale's new school boundary took in students previously registered at Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute, Kitchener–Waterloo Collegiate, and Waterloo Collegiate Institute. As of 2022, the principal is Deborah Tyrrell.
Central Toronto Academy (CTA); formerly Central Commerce Collegiate Institute and originally High School of Commerce and Finance is a public, semestered secondary school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Located in the Palmerston-Little Italy neighbourhood, it is operated by the Toronto District School Board. Before 1998, the school was part of the former Toronto Board of Education.
St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School is a high school in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada that serves all students from the Muskoka and Parry Sound area. Opened in 1995, the school campus has seen several stages of expansion to accommodate the school's growth in programming and population. Silverthorn Collegiate Institute is a public high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the neighbourhood of Markland Wood in the former suburb of Etobicoke. It is under the sanction of the Toronto District School Board. The name comes from the Silverthorn Woods that borders to the south and the west. This was the northern limit of an old property known locally as the Silverthorn Mill Farm.

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School is a Catholic secondary school located in the southern part of Lindsay, Ontario. It is currently the only Catholic secondary school in the City of Kawartha Lakes. The school was opened in 2000, and celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 29, 2011.
I.E. Weldon Secondary School is a public high school in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, which teaches grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. It is operated by the Trillium Lakelands District School Board. The school contains 60 rooms for rent, over 200 classrooms, 2 gymnasiums, a fitness center, a multi-media library resource center, and specialized areas for music, drama, art, cooking, woodworking and shop. It is also home to one of the largest French immersion High School programs in Canada. There are currently 1671 children enrolled.
Father Leo J. Austin Catholic Secondary School is a coeducational, Catholic, secondary school located in Whitby, Ontario, Canada, and it is managed by the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB). Today, it is an active school and is open for students grade 9 to 12. It’s one of the Catholic high schools in the DCDSB to offer the French Immersion program which draws students around the Durham Region.
Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School (NFHSS) is located at 1770 Upper Sherman Avenue in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and is a part of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Originally opened in 1961 as Barton Secondary School, and originally located on 75 Palmer Rd., it had a September 2008 enrolment of 955, and had 28 primary languages spoken within the school by students aside from English. The school's mission statement is "Educating students to become lifelong learners and contributing citizens in a challenging, changing, multi-cultural world." Students are required by Provincial Law to complete 30 mandatory credits and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) within their secondary school career. The school also offers special education classes as well as an ESL program. The HWDSB announced on May 24, 2012, that Barton Secondary School would be closed, along with Hill Park Secondary School and Mountain Secondary School with the students to be consolidated into a new, $25 million school.
Louise Arbour Secondary School is a high school located in Brampton, Ontario, operating under the Peel District School Board. It was established in 2010 to accommodate those who live in north Brampton between Sandalwood Heights Secondary School and Mayfield Secondary School. A social justice focus infuses all elements of the curriculum in order to support students to become socially responsible citizens of the world. The school offers a wide range of programs in all curricular areas along with Specialist High Skills Major programs in Arts and Culture as well as Hospitality and Tourism. Science, mathematics and technology are particular focus areas in the school.
Craig Kielburger Secondary School, is a high school in Milton, Ontario, Canada. The two-storey school features barrier-free accessibility, a triple gym, studio/theatre, food school, technical education facilities and the IB Diploma program. This school replaces E.C. Drury High School which closed in June 2012. The school is named after Craig Kielburger who founded Free the Children. Kielburger visited the school for the grand opening October 9, 2012.
Nicholson Catholic College (NCC) is a Catholic secondary school in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. The school operates under the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, and teaches students the Ontario Secondary School Diploma Curriculum as well as curriculum from the International Baccalaureate Programme. NCC is named after Monsignor J.F. Nicholson, V.G., P.A., with whose help and guidance a Catholic high school was first opened in Belleville. Monsignor Nicholson was the pastor of St. Michael's parish.
