Long Lehao (born 4 July 1938) is a Chinese aerospace engineer and scientist who was the chief designer of Long March expendable launch system rockets and deputy chief designer of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program. [1] [2] [3]

Biography

Long was born into a family of farming background in Hanyang County (now Wuhan), Hubei, on 4 July 1938. In September 1958, he was accepted to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he majored in automatic control. After graduating in July 1963, he was dispatched to the Unit 742 of the People's Liberation Army. He was transferred to the 1st Department of 1st Institute of 7th Ministry of Machinery Industry, which was reshuffled as the Ministry of Aerospace Industry in May 1982. In August 1986, he became deputy chief designer of Long March 3A orbital carrier rocket, rising to chief designer in December 1989. He was vice president of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology in November 1993, and held that office until January 2000. In March 2004, he was made deputy chief designer of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program, and served until April 2009. On 12 December 2019, he was hired as the honorary president of Shangqiu Institute of Technology. [4]

He was Communist Party Secretary of Heilongjiang, former Governor of Hebei, and former chairperson of the Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (COSTIND). Prior to his government career he was president of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) and chairman of Comac, an aerospace manufacturer.

Sun Jiadong is a Chinese aerospace engineer who is an expert in carrier rocket and satellite technology. He has long served as a leader of Chinese satellite projects, and is currently the chief designer for the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program. Sun is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and of the International Academy of Astronautics.

The Long March 7, or Chang Zheng 7 in pinyin, abbreviated LM-7 for export or CZ-7 within China, originally Long March 2F/H or Chang Zheng 2F/H, nicknamed Bingjian, is a Chinese liquid-fuelled launch vehicle of the Long March family, developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CAST). It made its inaugural flight on 25 June 2016.

Jiang Jingshan was a Chinese aerospace engineer with expertise in microwave remote sensing and spaceflight engineering. He had been the director of the Center for Space Science and Applied Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, deputy chief designer of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program and an aerospace expert of China's 863 Program. He was an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, International Eurasian Academy of Sciences and a member of CN COSPAR.

Long March 9 is a Chinese super-heavy carrier rocket concept that is currently under development. It is the ninth iteration of the Long March rocket family, named for the Chinese Red Army's 1934–35 Long March campaign during the Chinese Civil War.

Ma Xingrui

Ma Xingrui is a Chinese politician and aerospace engineer who is the Communist Party Secretary of Xinjiang. Prior to that, he had served as the Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Head of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Guangdong, Communist Party Secretary of Shenzhen, Deputy Party Secretary of Guangdong, and Governor of Guangdong. Ma is a full member of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

Ren Xinmin was a Chinese aerospace engineer and a specialist in astronautics and liquid rocket engine technology. He was the technical director of the Long March 1 rocket, which launched the Dong Fang Hong I, China's first satellite, and the chief designer of Chinese storable propellant rocket engine. He was also the chief designer for Long March 3 launch vehicle, Fengyun, and SJ (Shijian) series satellites.

Tu Shou'e or Shou-ngo Tu was a Chinese aerospace engineer who was a specialist in structural mechanics. Tu is famous as the chief designer of the Long March 2 rocket and China's intercontinental ballistic missile.

Wang Linkai Musical artist

Wang Linkai, commonly known by his stage name Xiao Gui is a Chinese rapper and singer-songwriter. In 2017, participated in the iQIYI Hip-Hop music audition show "The Rap of China", won the top 70 in the country, and officially entered the entertainment industry. Shan Jixiang Chinese politician, scholar and architect

Wang Xiji Chinese aerospace engineer

Wang Xiji is a Chinese aerospace engineer. The chief designer of China's first sounding rocket (T-7), first space launch vehicle and first recoverable satellites, he was awarded the Two Bombs, One Satellite Meritorious Medal in 1999. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the International Academy of Astronautics, and was inducted into the International Astronautical Federation Hall of Fame in 2016. Wang turned 100 in July 2021.

Wu Weiren is a Chinese physicist who is the chief designer of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program.

Huang Chunping is a Chinese scientist in the fields of missile and aerospace engineering. He was the commander in chief of the Shenzhou 5 rocket system, China's first manned spacecraft. He was also the commander in chief of Long March 3, Long March 2E and Long March 2F.

Zhou Zhicheng is a Chinese engineer who is a professor and dean of the School of Aerospace Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, and currently director of Communication Satellite Division of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
