The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is a yearly Halloween haunted hayride in Los Angeles, California, located near the city's Old Zoo in Griffith Park. [1] It was created by Ten Thirty One Productions, subsequently receiving a record Shark Tank investment from Mark Cuban, [2] [3] [4] and bought out by haunted attraction company Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group.
Opened in Calabasas, California in 2009, [5] [6] the Hayride has long been held in Griffith Park and features not only the hayride itself, but both original mazes and those based on horror intellectual property. [7] During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hayride was reinvented as a drive-in theater attraction in San Dimas, California with wandering performers, [8] [9] [10] before returning to Griffith Park in 2021. [11] [12] [13] In recent years, the attraction has been set at a 1980s Halloween festival in the fictional town of Midnight Falls, [14] [15] which Time Out compared to Sons of Anarchy and Twin Peaks . The Haunted Mask is the eleventh book in the original Goosebumps, the series of children's horror fiction novels created and written by R. L. Stine. The book follows Carly Beth, a girl who buys a Halloween mask from a store. After putting on the mask, she starts acting differently and discovers that the mask has become her face; she is unable to pull the mask off. R. L. Stine says he got the idea for the book from his son who had put on a Frankenstein mask he had trouble getting off.
California's Great America, often shortened to Great America, is a 112-acre (45 ha) amusement park located in Santa Clara, California. Owned and operated by Cedar Fair, it originally opened in 1976 as one of two parks built by the Marriott Corporation. California's Great America features over 40 rides and attractions, and one of its most notable is Gold Striker, which has been featured as a top-ranked wooden roller coaster in Amusement Today's annual Golden Ticket Awards publication. Other notable rides include RailBlazer, a single-rail coaster from Rocky Mountain Construction, and Flight Deck, an inverted coaster from Bolliger & Mabillard. Knott's Scary Farm or Knott's Halloween Haunt is a seasonal Halloween event at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. It is an event in which the theme park is transformed into "160 acres of horror", via a series of roaming monsters, terrifying mazes and 'scare zones'. As of 2010, it was said to be the first, largest and longest-running Halloween event to be held at a theme park.

Universal's Halloween Horror Nights is an annual Halloween-themed event at Universal Studios theme parks in Orlando, Hollywood, Japan and Singapore. The longest-running & most successful iteration of the event, in Orlando, Florida, began as Universal Studios Fright Nights in 1991 as a 3-night event at Universal Studios Florida. The following year, it was re-branded as Halloween Horror Nights, advertised as the "second annual event". Since then, it has evolved into a scare-a-thon event filled with themed haunted houses, scare zones & shows that runs over the course of select nights from early September until late October/early November, inspiring offshoots at other Universal Studios locations across the globe.
HalloWeekends is an annual Halloween event at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. It was introduced in 1997, and takes place during the Halloween season, usually from the second Friday after Labor Day until the Sunday before Halloween, or sometimes into early November. The event is open on Thursday Nights, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is included free with park admission. As of 2021, HalloWeekends features 11 haunted houses and nighttime scare zones, and there are several children's attractions. It is advised that children under 13 years old be accompanied by an adult. HalloWeekend's yearly slogan is "All You Fear is Here!". Other Cedar Fair parks including Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Valley Fair, and Worlds of Fun all have formerly used the HalloWeekends name. The name has changed to Halloween Haunt at all 3 parks. Cedar Point is the only Cedar Fair park that still uses the HalloWeekends name.
Halloween Spooktacular is an annual Halloween event that takes place at SeaWorld Orlando just outside of Orlando, Florida, SeaWorld San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas and SeaWorld San Diego in San Diego, California. The event debuted in 2008 at the Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio parks. It was suspended for several years at the San Antonio park and was reintroduced in 2016. The event is specifically designed for children and includes trick-or-treating for all guests.

Originating in 1937, the farming business at Tulleys was founded by Bernard Beare, and continues to be run by the Beare family to this day. Tulleys is best known for its seasonal attractions, most notably the annual Halloween festival held each October, entitled Shocktober Fest which has become the largest scream park in Europe.
Field of Screams is an American attraction, located in Mountville, Pennsylvania. They estimate that around 75 000 people visit the attraction per annum. Field of Screams is best known for its wide range of horror “theme-park” attractions and branded events such as the Extreme Blackout, Zombie Fun Run, and Friday the 13th.
