Los Traumas or Los Hermanos Trauma (Spanish for "The Trauma Brothers") is the name of a Mexican professional wrestling tag team consisting of the enmascarado (masked) brothers Trauma I and Trauma II. Los Traumas' real names are not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. [1] Los Traumas are the sons of professional wrestler Miguel Calderón Navarro, better known under the ring name Negro Navarro. [2] The team operates on a Freelance basis and thus is not exclusively working for one specific professional wrestling promotion but has worked for many Mexican wrestling promotions including working matches on shows promoted by the largest Mexican based promotions such as Lucha Libre AAA World Wide (AAA), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG).

Team history

The sons of Miguel Calderón Navarro both made their professional wrestling debut in 2002, adopting the enmascarado (masked) characters Trauma I and Trauma II, collectively the tag team became known as Los Traumas or Los Hermano Trauma ("The Trauma Brothers"). Early on the duo mainly competed in and around Mexico City on the Mexican independent circuit, including working regularly for the Desastre Total Ultraviolento (DTU) and NWA Mexico professional wrestling promotions. The team often appeared on the same shows as their father, who also worked as a Freelance wrestler on the independent circuit. Around 2007 Los Traumas began making appearances for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and would make regular appearances for IWRG both as a team and singles wrestlers. When one or both Traumas teamed up with their father they were billed as La Dinastia de la Muerte ("The Dynasty of Death"), referring both to the fact that they are a family (a "dynasty") and also referring to Los Misioneros de la Muerte , a trio Negro Navarro formed with El Signo and El Texano in the 1980s. [1] In IWRG the team had a long-running storyline feud against Los Terribles Cerebros (Black Terry, Cerebro Negro and Dr. Cerebro) centering on Los Cerebros' Distrito Federal Trios Championship. [3] Los Traumas also worked a number of Toryumon Mexico shows, giving them the opportunity to work with and against a number of wrestlers from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Mexico's largest and the world's oldest wrestling promotion including a match against one of CMLL's top teams, Los Guerreros del Infierno (Rey Bucanero and Último Guerrero) as part of the 2010 Yamaha Cup tournament. [4] Los Traumas and Navarro competed in the 2010 tournament for the vacant Distrito Federal Trios Championship, but lost in the first round to the team of Black Terry, Dr. Cerebro and El Hijo del Signo. [5] Los Traumas were one of eight teams in a tournament to determine the first International Wrestling League (IWL) Tag Team Champions. In the first round they defeated the teams of Aeroboy and Violento Jack, Heddi Karaoui and Naruto, Pesadilla and Radge but lost to Los Compadres (Chucho el Roto and Iron Love). On March 5, 2011 Los Traumas officially worked a match for CMLL, participating in CMLL's card for the Festival Mundial de Lucha Libre (the "World Wrestling Festival") where they teamed up with Dr. Cerebro only to lose to CMLL contracted wrestlers Puma King, Tiger Kid and Virus. [6] On May 15, 2011 Los Traumas defeated independent circuit rivals Los Compadres to win the AULL Tag Team Championship, the first major championship the brothers won as a duo. [7] On December 22, 2011, as a part of IWRG's celebration of the Arena Naucalpan 34th Anniversary, Los Traumas found themselves on opposite sides of a Relevos Suicidas match, where the two members of the losing team would be forced to wrestle under Luchas de Apuestas rules. Trauma I teamed up with Oficial AK-47 as they lost to Trauma II and Oficial 911. In the subsequent Luchas de Apuestas match Trauma I defeated AK-47, forcing him to unmask as per lucha libre traditions. [8] On April 14, 2012 Los Traumas lost the AULL Tag Team Championship to Los Bastardos (Epitafio & Leviathan) on an AULL show in Tlalnepantla de Baz, State of Mexico. On April 29, Los Traumas with Angélico won the Triangular de Tercias, defeating Eterno, Factor and Spartan in the final. [9] On November 3, 2012 Los Traumas defeated Astro de Plata and Freelance on an AAA promoted show, marking the first time Los Traumas worked for Mexico's other major wrestling promotion. [10] On March 31, 2013 Los Traumas competed in IWRG's La Guerra de Familias ("War of the Families") tournament. The team defeated La Familia de Tijuana (Mosco X-Fly and Eterno) in the first round. During the match Trauma I reaggravated an old knee injury and was not allowed to compete in the finals where Trauma II lost to Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 and Cien Caras, Jr. Following the loss Los Junior Dinamitas challenged Trauma I and Negro Navarro to defend their title a week later. [11] [12] A week later Los Junior Dinamitas wrestled Trauma I and Negro Navarro for the IWRG Intercontinental Tag Team Championship, but lost. [13] On August 9, 2015 Los Traumas and Negro Navarro won the IWRG Intercontinental Trios Championship from Los Piratas (Pirata Mogan, Pirata Morgan Jr. and El Hijo de Pirata Mogan). [14]

The Trauma brothers have designed and sell their own line of line of T-shirts and sweatshirts manufactured by SidZero. The line of clothes was inspired by their ring looks and have been described as having the aesthetics of Slipknot combined with zombie movie posters. [15] In 2012 the World Press Photo organization, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands selected photographs of Los Traumas taken by polish photographer Tomasz Gudzowaty as the third-place winner in their sports category. The images were taken on June 15, 2011 before and during a wrestling event in Mexico City and featured black and white photos of Los Traumas wearing their trademark "horror-inspired" masks. IWRG Intercontinental Trios Championship Professional wrestling championship by International Wrestling Revolution Group

The IWRG Intercontinental Trios Championship is a Trios (six-man) tag team Championship promoted by the Mexican Lucha libre professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and was introduced in 2000. As it is a professional wrestling championship, the championship was not won not by actual competition, but by a scripted ending to a match determined by the bookers and match makers. On occasion the promotion declares a championship vacant, which means there is no champion at that point in time. This can either be due to a storyline, or real life issues such as a champion suffering an injury being unable to defend the championship, or leaving the company.

Máscara Año 2000 Jr. Mexican professional wrestler

Ángel Omar Reyes Franco is a Mexican luchador or professional wrestler, better known as Máscara Año 2000 Jr. He is working for Lucha Libre AAA World Wide (AAA), and International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). Máscara Año 2000 Jr. originally worked under a mask and his real name was not a matter of public record, until he lost his mask in a match in August 2012. His father Jesús Reyes González wrestled under the ring name Máscara Año 2000.

Los Oficiales was a Mexican professional wrestling group, called a stable. Los Oficiales was originally created in AAA.

Mario Pardo Villagómez is a Mexican luchador, best known under the ring name Oficial AK-47. As Oficial AK-47 he is part of a group called Los Oficiales that has worked for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) since 2007. The team held the record for the longest reigning Distrito Federal Trios Champions and are the most successful holders of the IWRG Intercontinental Trios Championship, holding it longer than any other trios team and having defended it more times than any previous champions have. AK-47 is also a former one-time IWRG Intercontinental Middleweight Champion. He previously worked as the enmascarado charactersSureño de la Muerte and Black Stone. He is named after the AK-47 assault rifle. Wrestling most his career under a mask, Pardo's true identity was revealed on December 22, 2011, when he lost his mask in a match against Trauma I.

Cien Caras Jr.'s real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. He is not a blood relative of wrestler Cien Caras, but instead is using the ring name with permission from Cien Caras.

Los Capos Junior is a Mexican professional wrestling group, called a stable, which is working on the Mexican Independent circuit, including regular appearances for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). The group works as a rudo faction and often teams together for tag team or Trios matches. The storyline behind team is that they are all sons of one of the original Los Capos, Cien Caras and Máscara Año 2000, although only one of the four members have been confirmed as being a blood relative while two others were definitely not. The stable includes Cien Caras Jr., Hijo de Máscara Año 2000 and Máscara Año 2000 Jr.. El Hijo de Cien Caras was a part of the group until his death in 2010. Los Capos have at times also been billed as Los Hermanos Dinamita leading this team being called Los Hermanos Dinamita Junior or Los Junior Dinamitas.

Golden Magic is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotions Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) and Major League Wrestling (MLW), where he is the current MLW Caribbean Champion and former AAA World Trios Champion.

Esteban Mares Castañeda is a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Black Terry. Wrestling since 1973, he was once part of a group called Los Temerarios alongside Jose Luis Feliciano and Shu El Guerrero. He has previously worked as the masked character Guerrero Maya where he formed the group called Los Guerreros Del Futuro with Guerrero del Futuro and Damian El Guerrero. He is the father of wrestler Guerrero Maya Jr. although the relationship is not officially recognized due to Guerrero Maya, Jr. being a masked wrestler.

Ricardo Antonio Morales Gonzalez, better known under the ring name Cerebro Negro, is a Mexican luchador, or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) portraying a rudo wrestling character as well as a number of independent promotions.

Guerra de Familias (2013) 2013 International Wrestling Revolution Group event

La Guerra de Familias (2013) was a professional wrestling major event, produced by the Mexico based International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) professional wrestling promotion. The event took on March 31, 2013, at "Arena Naucalpan" in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, IWRG's main venue. The focal point of the event was a four team tag team tournament between four "families".

Miguel Ángel Lugo, better known under the ring name Eterno is a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotions Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), Desastre Total Ultraviolento (DTU) and on the Mexican independent circuit portraying a rudo wrestling character.

Apolo Estrada Jr. is the ring name of Roberto Guadalupe Estrada Zúñiga, a Mexican luchador or professional wrestler. He is the son of professional wrestler Apolo Estrada and has worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) as well as working for many professional wrestling promotions on the Mexican independent circuit. IWRG Guerra de Empresas International Wrestling Revolution Group event series

The title Guerra de Empresas is the name of a series of major lucha libre shows produced and scripted by the Mexico-based International Wrestling Revolution Group professional wrestling promotion. The Guerra de Empresas title has also been used by other Mexican wrestling promotions such as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and various Mexican independent promotions. The Guerra de Empresas always features wrestlers from two or more promotions wrestling against each other in a tournament.

IWRG Legado Final International Wrestling Revolution Group event series

The Legado Final is a series of major wrestling shows produced and scripted by the Mexican lucha libre professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group. The first Legado Final show was held on June 2, 2011 at IWRG's main venue Arena Naucalpan, with a second held in 2012 and a third show held in 2015. The event celebrates, or pays tribute to, the fact that lucha libre is a family tradition with a main event tournament where fathers and sons team up for a tag team elimination match.

IWRG Máscara vs. Máscara (September 2016) 2016 International Wrestling Revolution Group event

The IWRG Máscara vs. Máscara was a major professional wrestling event that was scripted and produced by the lucha libre wrestling company International Wrestling Revolution Group that took place on September 4, 2016, in IWRG's home arena Arena Naucalpan in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The main event and highlights from several of the matches on the show were broadcast the following day on AYM Sports in Mexico and matches from the show were later posted online by the Lucha+ TV show.

The Arena Naucalpan 39th Anniversary Show was a major annual professional wrestling supercard show produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on December 21, 2016 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The show celebrated the 39th Anniversary of the construction of Arena Naucalpan, IWRG's main venue.
