"Loser, Baby" is a song from the American adult animated musical comedy television series Hazbin Hotel, which is sung by Husk (voiced by Keith David) and Angel Dust (voiced by Blake Roman). [1] [2] The song is featured in "Masquerade", the fourth episode of the show's first season. On January 19, 2024, the song and lyrics were published to YouTube and Spotify by Amazon Prime Video, and have since accumulated 34 million views and 88 million streams, respectively. [3] [1] The song also peaked at number one on the Billboard US Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. [4] [5] The song’s release on YouTube has also become Amazon Prime Video’s third most-viewed video on their channel. [1]

Reception

Angel Shaw of Screen Rant stated the song "perfectly represents everything the adult animated musical comedy series is about". [9] Charlotte Hansen, also from Screen Rant, ranked "Loser, Baby" the best song in the Hazbin Hotel television series, writing "while the song is very gritty and shows the brutal reality of living in Hell, it is also lighthearted as well with Angel Dust and Husk dancing to changing backgrounds as they celebrate who they are." [2] The Economic Times wrote that the song "captures the essence of losers finding solace in each other's company within the depths of Hell." [10]

Alastor "the Radio Demon" is a fictional character created by Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano who primarily appears in the musical adult animated series Hazbin Hotel as one of the overlords of Hell. He was voiced by Edward Bosco and Gabriel C. Brown in the pilot and a series of music videos from 2019 to 2024, and by Amir Talai in the animated series since 2024. A constantly-smiling sinner, Alastor returns after a seven-year absence to run a hotel known as the Hazbin Hotel with Charlie Morningstar, princess of Hell, whom Alastor seeks to guide and control, while also wanting to free his own soul from the service of an unknown being.
