Loughborough College is a general further education college located in Leicestershire, England that offers further education, higher education, apprenticeships and professional qualifications.
Loughborough College offers courses in beauty, business, childcare, creative industries and computing, electrical installation, engineering, hairdressing, hospitality and catering, leisure, travel and aviation, motor vehicles, music, performing arts, public services and sport. It has partnered with the National Space Academy to form the Space Engineering program. [1] The college offers students work experience as part of their course. [2]
The college offers apprenticeships for students who wish to gain practical skills in a working environment whilst earning a wage. [3]
Many of the courses are offered in association with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).[ citation needed ]
Loughborough University is a public research university in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It has been a university since 1966, but it dates back to 1909, when Loughborough Technical Institute began with a focus on skills directly applicable in the wider world. In March 2013, the university announced it had bought the former broadcast centre at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as a second campus. The annual income of the institution for 2022–23 was £369.1 million, of which £48.3 million was from research grants and contracts, with an expenditure of £339.1 million.

Helen Sarah Scott, is an English sprint cyclist. As well as competing as part of the Great Britain team Scott is also an able-bodied tandem cyclist, who since 2011 has acted as pilot for Paralympian Aileen McGlynn, Sophie Thornhill and Alison Patrick.
Samuel Ruddock is a Paralympic track cycling athlete who represented Great Britain in the F35 classification in the 100 metres and shot put events, for athletes with cerebral palsy. He is the British Record holder for the F35 Shot Put and the C1 Kilometere Time Trial, specialising in the track sprint events, preparing for his third Paralympic Games at Tokyo 2020.
Sophie Thornhill, is a visually impaired English former racing cyclist who competed in para-cycling tandem track events. She is a double world champion, with pilot Rachel James, and a double Commonwealth gold medallist, with pilot Helen Scott, in the tandem sprint and 1 km time trial events. In April 2014, she set world records in the tandem sprint and 1 km time trial, piloted by James. She retired from competition in 2020.
Kenya competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's fifteenth appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in 1956, having boycotted the 1976 Montreal and 1980 Moscow Games.
Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo is a British high performance coach based in Loughborough, Leicestershire. Dodoo is internationally known as the coach of the aspiring runner, Reece Prescod, and several other Olympic and Paralympic medalists such as Greg Rutherford, and Olivia Breen. He was one of the eight coaches who underwent UK Athletics’ Elite Coaching Apprenticeship Programme (ECAP) in the lead-up to the London 2012 Olympics. His wife, Julie Hollman Dodoo, was an Olympic heptathlete, and is a Level 3 Performance Coach and works with England Athletics.
