Loughborough College is a general further education college located in Leicestershire, England that offers further education, higher education, apprenticeships and professional qualifications.
Loughborough College offers courses in beauty, business, childcare, creative industries and computing, electrical installation, engineering, hairdressing, hospitality and catering, leisure, travel and aviation, motor vehicles, public services and sport. It has partnered with the National Space Academy to form the Space Engineering program. [1] The college offers students work experience as part of their course. [2]
The college offers apprenticeships for students who wish to gain practical skills in a working environment whilst earning a wage. [3]
Many of the courses are offered in association with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).[ citation needed ]
Loughborough University is a public research university in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It has been a university since 1966, but it dates back to 1909, when Loughborough Technical Institute began with a focus on skills directly applicable in the wider world. In March 2013, the university announced it had bought the former broadcast centre at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as a second campus. The annual income of the institution for 2022–23 was £369.1 million, of which £48.3 million was from research grants and contracts, with an expenditure of £339.1 million.

Team Durham is a student-run organisation responsible for sport at Durham University. Samuel Ruddock is a Paralympic track cycling athlete who represented Great Britain in the F35 classification in the 100 metres and shot put events, for athletes with cerebral palsy. He is the British Record holder for the F35 Shot Put and the C1 Kilometere Time Trial, specialising in the track sprint events, preparing for his third Paralympic Games at Tokyo 2020.
Great Britain, or in full Great Britain and Northern Ireland, represented by the British Olympic Association (BOA), competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016 and the team of selected athletes was officially known as Team GB. British athletes have appeared in every Summer Olympic Games of the modern era, alongside Australia, France, Greece, and Switzerland, though Great Britain is the only country to have won at least one gold medal at all of them. The team represented the United Kingdom, the three Crown Dependencies, and the thirteen British Overseas Territories, ten of whom sent representatives.
