Countesthorpe is a large village and civil parish in the Leicestershire district of Blaby, with a population of 6,393 (2001 census, falling slightly to 6,377 at the 2011 census. It lies to the south of Leicester, and is about 6 miles from the city centre, but only two miles south of the suburb of South Wigston. Nearby places are Blaby and South Wigston to the north, Kilby to the east, Peatling Magna and Willoughby Waterleys to the south, and Broughton Astley, Cosby and Whetstone to the west.

Castle Hill High School is a community Special education School located in Offerton, Stockport, Greater Manchester. The school was awarded an "outstanding" rating by Ofsted in October 2013, May 2017 and September 2023. The school moved to this site in September 2014, having previously been located in the Brinnington area of Stockport. The Brinnington site was closed to make way for a housing development, as the closure of the adjacent Lapwing Sports Centre meant that the school had no sports or catering facilities. The new building is on the site of Offerton School which closed in August 2007. The site was previously shared with Stockport Music Service
Thomas Estley Community College is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Broughton Astley, Leicestershire, England. It caters for students aged 11–16. It forms part of The Success Academy Trust, together with Cosby Primary School, Hallbrook Primary School and Richmond Primary School.
