Johnny Reed McKinzie Jr., better known by his stage name Jay Rock, is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. Rock signed with local independent label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) in 2005. He secured a major label joint venture deal with Warner Bros. Records and Asylum Records to release his 2008 debut single, "All My Life ". Failing to chart, the mergers fell through and Rock departed from both of the latter labels shortly after. He then signed with Missouri rapper Tech N9ne's label Strange Music in a joint venture deal with TDE in 2011.

Drill is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in Chicago in the early 2010s. It is sonically similar to the trap music subgenre and lyrically similar to the gangsta rap subgenre. Soon after the album was released officially on iTunes on August 3, 2015, through the label FilmOn Music. The second part of the album was released on September 18, 2015, as well as the double disc being available for purchase in stores. The album features guest appearances from ASAP Rocky, Mac Miller, Lil B and Jenn Em.
Durk Banks, known professionally as Lil Durk, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He initially garnered a local following with the release of his Signed to the Streets mixtape series (2013–2014), whose success led to him to sign with Def Jam Recordings. The label released his debut studio album, Remember My Name (2015) and its follow-up, Lil Durk 2X (2016) to moderate commercial reception before parting ways with the artist in 2018.
"Nightcrawler" is a song by American rapper Travis Scott featuring fellow American rappers Swae Lee and Chief Keef. It was released through Grand Hustle and Epic Records as the seventh track from the former's debut studio album, Rodeo, on September 4, 2015. Produced by Scott himself, TM88, Southside, Metro Boomin, and Mike Dean and additionally produced by Allen Ritter, the six wrote the song alongside Swae Lee, Chief Keef, and Gizzle. The song was considered to be a sleeper hit and first charted in early 2024 after its popularity increased due to people using it as the sound in their videos on the video application TikTok.
