Love Story is a 2005 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by Bharathi Kannan. The film stars Mayur Patel, Tanu Roy and Srinagara Kitty. The film was partially reshot in Tamil as Uyir Ullavare. This film is a remake of Maro Charitra (1978). [1]
The music composed by S. A. Rajkumar with lyrics by K. Kalyan. The songs were reused tunes from the original. [2] [3]
K. N. Venkatasubba Rao of The Hindu wrote that "Though Mayur Patel has given his best as the hero, it is Srinagar Kitty as the villain who succeeds in registering his histrionic potential on a par with those artistes who played that role in original Telugu and Hindi films". [4] R. G. Vjayasarathy of Rediff.com said that "Being a faithful adaptation, some sequences of the film are well-narrated. But if outstanding performances were one of the main features of the original, except for a few artists like Mayur Patel, Komal and Pramila Joshai, the others fail to deliver in this remake". [5] A critic from Viggy said that "If you watch Love Story without comparing it with its original (Kamal's performance or Balachandar's direction), you surely will enjoy the film and those melodious songs". Apthamitra is a 2004 Indian Kannada-language horror film directed by P. Vasu and produced by Dwarakish. It stars Vishnuvardhan, Soundarya and Ramesh Arvind in the lead roles, while Prema, Dwarakish and Avinash appear in supporting roles. The film is a remake of Malayalam film Manichithrathazhu with some plot changes. The film was released on 27 August 2004 on Varalakshmi festival to positive reviews.
Meri Adalat is a 1984 Hindi film directed by A. T. Raghu. The film was a revenge drama featuring Rajinikanth in the lead, supported by Zeenat Aman, Mohnish Behl, Sonia Sahni and Komal Mahuakar. The movie was dubbed in Tamil as Veetukku Oru Nallavan, It is a remake of director's own Kannada movie Aasha (1983) starring Ambareesh. This movie went on to inspire the 1991 Kannada movie Garuda Dhwaja also starring Ambareesh. The film was hit.
Rajan–Nagendra were an Indian musical duo who were prominent composers of film music in Kannada and Telugu cinema from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Rajan, along with his brother Nagendra, created a niche for themselves for nearly four decades. The duo scored music for about 375 films, over 200 of them in Kannada and the remainder in other languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu, Hindi and Sinhala. They composed innumerable hits, hundreds of melodious tunes in their career spanning four decades. They also hold the record for the longest active musical pair in the industry.

The Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback – Kannada is given by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards South for Kannada films. The first Kannada award was given in 2007. Before that, since 1997 till 2005, a common award for playback was available for both Male and Female singers of all the four South Indian languages.

The film was produced by Sa Ra Govindu under his home production Thanu Pictures. Two music directors V. Manohar and Rajesh Ramanath were seen in supporting roles.
Ondagona Baa is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language romance drama film directed by Udayasankar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The film stars V. Ravichandran and Shilpa Shetty. Yester-year veteran actors J. V. Somayajulu and K. R. Vijaya too feature in prominent roles. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Kalisundam Raa (2000). The film also marked the reunion of actor Ravichandran with music composer Hamsalekha who had parted ways due to some differences for many years.
