Lovisa Tora Yvonne Lindh (born 9 July 1991) is a Swedish middle-distance runner competing primarily in the 800 metres. [2] [3] Lindh won the bronze medal in the event at the 2016 European Championships.

Biography

Competing for Ullevi FK, Lindh won the national championship title on 800 metres in 2012. [4] She competed at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships without advancing to the final. At the 2016 European Championships she won the bronze medal with a time of 2:00.37, then a personal record. [5] At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Lindh finished ninth on the 800 metres event. [6]

In 2021, Lindh qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics but was not chosen to represent Sweden. [7] In 2025, Lindh switched to Kongahälla AIK. [8]

Lovisa Lindh is the niece of Olympic table tennis player Erik Lindh. [6] Lindh has studied at Southern Methodist University [9] and the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law. [10]

She is the first sportsperson from Suriname to compete at five Olympic Games. She won a silver medal at the 1995 World Championships and a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships. Vriesde holds the South American records for the 800 metres, 1000 metres and 1500 metres and also for the 3000 metres (indoors).

Amine Laâlou is a Moroccan track and field athlete, who specializes in middle-distance running. He has represented his country at the Summer Olympics on two occasions; in 2004 and 2008. He began his career as an 800 metres specialist and made his global debut at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics. He won medals at smaller international competitions, including the 2004 Pan Arab Games and 2005 Mediterranean Games. He reached his first global final at the 2007 World Championships, taking sixth, and was a semi-finalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Shannon Solares-Rowbury is an American middle-distance runner from San Francisco, California. After competing collegiately for Duke University, she turned professional in 2007. Rowbury has represented the United States at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2012, becoming the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in the event. She also represented the United States at the World Championships in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017, winning the bronze medal in the 1500 meters in 2009. In 2015, Rowbury helped set the world record with the U.S. team for the distance medley relay event, and set a then-American record for 1500 meters on July 17, 2015, breaking Mary Slaney's 32 year-old mark with a time of 3:56.29.

Adam Piotr Kszczot is a retired Polish middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. His achievements include silver medals at the 2015 and 2017 World Championships in Athletics, gold at the 2018 World Indoor Championships as well as silver and bronze at the 2014 and 2010 World Indoor Championships respectively. Kszczot won three gold medals in the 800 m at both the European Outdoor and Indoor Championships. He twice competed at the Olympic Games, in 2012 and 2016, narrowly missing the final on both occasions.
