"Low Happening" is the debut single from Howling Bells. First released as a digital download in 2005, followed by a CD release in 2006, its next appearance served as the third track on their debut album, Howling Bells . Re-issued in 2007 in digital download and CD format once more, as well as vinyl, this time with various remixes by several different artists.
Easily the band's most popular single to date, its frenzied beat aided by its stomping drums and fuzzy screaming guitar led it to being named, "Number 27 Track of the Year" in 2007, by popular British music magazine, NME, in their annual presentation of the year's best songs. [1] A feat that was achieved a year earlier by "Setting Sun", when it was named "Number 47 Track of the Year" by the same publication. Click Music's, Donna Dobson, called it, "one of the most interesting tunes of the year", and "a primal, almost raw, blending of blues with dirty rock 'n' roll". [2] "Low Happening" played on season three's, episode thirteen entitled, "The Pot Stirrer", of the popular American television serial-drama, The OC. [3]

The video was directed by Josh Louge for Mathematics [4] and was shot at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia. DP (Director of Photography) Francesco Biffone was awarded a 2005 silver ACS (Australian Cinematographers Society) Award for Cinematography. [5] Captured on 35 mm film stock, it utilizes an aspect ratio of 1.85:1
It opens to the sight of a clapperboard and complete silence. Next is a stage right to stage left tracking shot from up-stage, behind the band, who at this point have started playing. As a whole the video is shot from a fixed position at a back angle, with a lot of it over the shoulder, and only one instance of it being hand-held. It isn't until the final verse and chorus that we are presented with the band from the front in which a tracking shot is pulling away from them, now playing in a set with a rear projection screen and props designed to mirror a forest.
The video was directed by Dan Sully for Rebel Monk and was shot in Camden, London. [6] Sully was nominated for 2008 UK MVA Best New Director. Captured on 35 mm film stock, it utilizes an aspect ratio of 1.85:1
A technique called stop motion was used briefly in the video. There are only a few instances of stable shots with the rest of it being all hand-held. The girl in the video is Lynsey Wright. [7]
The camera scans a room, it's a mess, the walls are clad with nature-scened wallpaper, broken bottles along with a high heel shoe strew the floor. A young woman awakes in a bed, she's wrapped in blinking Christmas lights, her hand clutches burnt out sparklers, she's confused by it all. She gets up to look at herself in the mirror, she sees behind her a young man dressed as a skeleton passed out in the bathtub. She leaves and wanders the streets in and around Camden Lock listening to the song through her headphones, bemused by what she sees. The light in her eye and fast, sweeping motion of the camera gives the impression that she is obviously under the influence. She enters a diner in which members of the band patronize, she orders, attracts attention by swaying and twirling to her music. She sees a man sitting at a table, he's leaned up against the wall incoherent, she twists and plays with his tie only to push him away due to his inability to wake from a drunken coma. The video comes to a close when she appears at a fictitious Howling Bells joint at The Camden Barfly where she is overwhelmed by the music and dances to her favorite song. It's a Low Happening.
"Someone to Call My Lover" is a song by American singer-songwriter Janet Jackson from her seventh studio album, All for You (2001). Written and produced by Jackson and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the song was released as the album's second single on June 12, 2001, by Virgin Records. Using a guitar riff from America's "Ventura Highway" and the melody from Erik Satie's "Gymnopedié No. 1", "Someone to Call My Lover" talks about being determined to find a perfect match.

"Milk" is a song written and produced by alternative rock band Garbage from their self-titled debut studio album (1995). The song was released internationally the following year as the album's fifth and final single. Garbage collaborated with English trip hop musician Tricky on a new version of "Milk" for single release. Much media comment was made regarding a rumoured fall-out over the sessions, when it became known that Garbage produced a further mix of "Milk" that only incorporated Tricky's vocals from that session.

¡Forward, Russia! are an English rock band from Leeds, active from between 2004 and 2008, before reforming in 2013. The band's debut album, Give Me a Wall, was released in 2006. Until 2006, the band only named tracks with numbers, in the order that they were written. The band had used Faux Cyrillic, with its name occasionally typeset as ¡FФЯWДЯD, RUSSIД!. The band went on hiatus after the release of their second album, Life Processes, in 2008. They reformed in 2013 for a show at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds in November 2013 for its 100th anniversary, and then played the Live at Leeds Festival at Leeds Town Hall in 2014.

"Golden Skans" is a song released by London band Klaxons on 22 January 2007, taken from their first album Myths of the Near Future, which was released on 29 January 2007. The song reached number 16 in the UK Singles Chart on download sales on 14 January and climbed to number 14 the next week, eventually reaching number seven after the CD release. It was a minor hit in Belgium, charting on the Ultratip charts of both Flanders and Wallonia. The track was also released on French label Ed Banger Records as a French-exclusive remix EP.
"Northern Lites" is the ninth single by Super Furry Animals. It was the first single to be taken from the Guerrilla album and reached number 11 in the UK Singles Chart after its release on 10 May 1999. The song was written by singer Gruff Rhys and was inspired by the El Niño phenomenon. The track's title refers to the Aurora Borealis, a natural light display which the band were convinced they had seen prior to the song being written. Rhys wrote the melody for "Northern Lites" several years before it was completed but only decided on a calypso style after he wrote the lyrics. The steel drums on the track are played by keyboardist Cian Ciaran and were added on the spur of the moment after the group saw them "lying around" Real World Studios during recording.
"(Drawing) Rings Around the World" is a song by Super Furry Animals and was the second single taken from the band's fifth album, Rings Around the World. The track reached number 28 on the UK Singles Chart on release in October 2001. Singer Gruff Rhys has described the song as being about "rings of communication around the world. All the rings of pollution".

"Lucky Day" is a song by British recording artist Nicola Roberts. It was released on September 18, 2011 under label Polydor Records as the second single from Roberts debut album Cinderella's Eyes. The song was written by Roberts and was produced by Canadian electropop group Dragonette. "Lucky Day" is an upbeat pop song featuring synths; lyrically the song talks of a boy not succumbing to advances—but doing so eventually—although Roberts stated the concept relates to all aspects of life and luckiness.
