Alec Empire is a German experimental electronic musician who is best known as a founding member of the band Atari Teenage Riot, as well as a solo artist, producer and DJ. He has released many albums, EPs and singles, some under aliases, and remixed over seventy tracks for various artists including Björk. He was also the driving force behind the creation of the digital hardcore genre, and founded the record labels Digital Hardcore Recordings and Eat Your Heart Out Records.

Teimo is the second solo album from German Ambient music producer, Thomas Köner. Köner has already fully developed his characteristic drone style here. It is also the record which made Köner known in electronic scene and together with next album, "Permafrost" is considered by many critics and fans as his best work. Köner used a variety of techniques to record sound on "Teimo". One of which was recording gongs underwater, thus creating an almost disorienting yet beautiful drone.

Robert Babicz is a Polish-born music producer, mastering engineer and live performer living in Malta. With a career spanning nearly three decades covering genres from techno to acid house to minimal, Robert has also been known under the pseudonyms Rob Acid, Acid Warrior, Department of Dance and Sontec amongst many others. He has released a number of well respected records on labels such as Kompakt, Systematic Recordings, Treibstoff, Bedrock, Intec Digital and Steve Bug's Audiomatique, as well his own labels, Junkfood, Babiczstyle and Dirtcut. He is well known as a live performer rather than a DJ, as he uses synths and live equipment and improvises in every set he plays.
Úlfur Hansson is an Icelandic electronic musician. Úlfur's first album, Sweaty Psalms, was released in May 2008. It was recorded and written over two years, self-released but distributed by Kimi Records locally. The record received outstanding reviews in local newspapers and webzines, for example, being voted the seventh best album of 2008 by rjominn.is. In promotion of the album, Klive toured Germany in 2009, opening for Kira Kira. Following the success of Klive's first album, Úlfur signed a record deal with newly reformed Mille Plateaux.
Dean Roberts is a musician and composer from New Zealand who works with electroacoustic music, minimalism, free improvisation, song cycles and prog rock. During the mid-1990s he was a member of the trio Thela with Rosy Parlane and Dion Workman. After Thela disbanded, Roberts recorded 3 solo albums under the name White Winged Moth, followed by a series of releases under his own name.

Biokinetics is the first album by the electronic music duo of Thomas Köner and Andy Mellwig known as Porter Ricks. Issued in 1996, it was the first release on the Berlin-based Chain Reaction label. It is considered a classic within the dub techno genre.
