Chad Owens Sr. is a professional Canadian football wide receiver and kick returner who is currently a free agent. He was most recently a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Owens played college football at Hawaii. He spent six seasons playing for the Toronto Argonauts, and has also been a member of the Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Glenn is a journeyman quarterback who is the only player to ever have had his rights held by every team in the CFL.
Andrew Fantuz is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver. Fantuz spent the majority of his professional career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played for the Riders for six seasons after he was drafted by them in the first round of the 2006 CFL Draft. He then played six seasons for the Tiger-Cats. Fantuz was also signed by the Chicago Bears in 2011. He played CIS football for the Western Ontario Mustangs.
Jacques Chapdelaine is a Canadian football coach and former professional slotback in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He most recently served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. He has also served as the offensive coordinator for four other CFL teams, the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes (2016-17), and the head coach for two Canadian university football teams. He has won three Grey Cup championships as an assistant coach and one Vanier Cup as the head coach of the Laval Rouge et Or. He played collegiately for the Simon Fraser Clan as a wide receiver and played between 1983 and 1989 for four different CFL teams.
Chris Getzlaf is a Canadian former professional football slotback who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 2007 to 2017. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2007 CFL Draft, 33rd overall, by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and was later traded that season to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He has also been a member of the Edmonton Eskimos. Prior to turning pro, Getzlaf played with the junior team Prairie Thunder and the collegiate team Regina Rams in his hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan.

After a number of trades, including ones made on draft day, Toronto and BC wound up with the most picks with nine apiece. The defending Grey Cup champions, the Montreal Alouettes, had seven, while the Calgary Stampeders had six. The Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders each had four. Of the 47 draft selections, 36 players were drafted from Canadian Interuniversity Sport institutions.
Ryan Lucas is a former professional Canadian football defensive tackle who last played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. He was originally signed by the Montreal Alouettes as a free agent on December 25, 2006, and spent the majority of the 2007 and 2008 seasons on the practice roster. Lucas signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on June 1, 2010 as a free agent. He was claimed by the Montreal Alouettes off the Riders' practice roster on July 31, 2011 and released in the following off-season on March 26, 2012. He played college football for the Western Washington Vikings. On January 8, 2015 Lucas announced his retirement from professional football.

Michael Carter is a professional Canadian football defensive back for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted 19th overall by the BC Lions in the 2011 CFL Draft, but was released after training camp. He subsequently signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on June 27, 2011. Carter was released near the end of the 2011 CFL season on October 26, 2011. It was announced that Carter had signed with the Montreal Alouettes on January 27, 2011. After a three-year stint with the Alouettes, he signed with the Roughriders on February 25, 2015. He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins. He played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League prior to being released on August 15, 2015. On September 15, 2015, Carter signed with the Edmonton Eskimos as a free agent and was added to their practice roster. He was later released by the Eskimos on November 30, 2015. On August 17, 2016, Carter was signed by the Toronto Argonauts.

Edem was drafted in the first round, third overall by the Montreal Alouettes and signed with the team on May 27, 2013. He played CIS football for the Calgary Dinos and McGill Redmen.

The regular season began on June 13 and concluded with the playing of the 107th Grey Cup in Calgary on November 24 —where the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 33–12 to win their first Grey Cup since 1990.
The 2018 Hamilton Tiger-Cats season was the 61st season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 69th overall. The Tiger-Cats improved upon their 6–12 record from 2017 and clinched a playoff berth and home playoff date during their bye in week 17 following the Montreal Alouettes' loss to the Calgary Stampeders. After defeating the BC Lions in the East Semi-Final, the Tiger-Cats lost to the Ottawa Redblacks in the East Final. This was the third season under general manager Eric Tillman and first full season under head coach June Jones following his interim role the year before.
