"Lucky Star" is a 2000 song by Marseilles group Superfunk. It was the group's breakout single and sold more than 500,000 units worldwide, reaching 42 on the UK Singles Chart. [1] [2] The song contains a sample of Chris Rea's "Josephine". [3] It was re-released with a remix package in 2009.

"Another Day in Paradise" is a song written and recorded by English drummer and singer Phil Collins. Produced by Collins along with Hugh Padgham, it was released as the first single from his number-one album ...But Seriously (1989). As with his song for Genesis, "Man on the Corner", the track has as its subject the problem of homelessness and paradise; as such, the song was a substantial departure from the dance-pop music of his previous album, No Jacket Required (1985).

"Bump, Bump, Bump" is a song by American boy band B2K, featuring P. Diddy. It was released October 2002 as the lead single from B2K's third album Pandemonium!. It was written by R. Kelly and Varick Smith and produced by Kelly. It became B2K's first and only top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and reached number one for one week starting on February 1, 2003.

"Turn Me On" is the debut single of Vincentian singer Kevin Lyttle. It was the lead single from his self-titled debut album. The song was originally a soca ballad released in 2002 on the VP Records sublabel Waist Line Muzik, remade into a dance hit for the US release. "Insomnia" is a song by British musical group Faithless. Released as the band's second single, it became one of their most successful. It was originally released in 1995 and reached number 27 on the UK Singles Chart, topping the UK Dance Chart in the process. When re-released in October 1996, the song achieved a new peak of number three in the United Kingdom and topped the charts of Finland, Norway, and Switzerland, as well as the American and Canadian dance charts. It also featured on Faithless's 1996 debut album, Reverence. The music video for "Insomnia" was directed by Lindy Heymann.
"Proper Education" is a remix of the 1979 song "Another Brick in the Wall, Part II" by Pink Floyd by the Swedish DJ and electronic music producer Eric Prydz. It was released in Sweden on 24 November 2006 and in the United Kingdom on 1 January 2007. "Proper Education" reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2007. On 8 December 2007, the song received a nomination for Best Remixed Recording at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

The song was written by Stefan Kendal Gordy, GoonRock, Erin Beck, George M. Robertson and Kenneth Oliver, and it was produced by Party Rock. It went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 7, 2012, and remained there for two weeks.

Originally released through Left Lane Productions on 26 April 2013, the song became an international hit upon being remixed in a more up-tempo fashion by German DJ and record producer Robin Schulz, with Schulz's remix topping the charts in multiple countries, including Austria, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. "Light It Up" is a song by American electronic music producing group Major Lazer, featuring vocals from Jamaican singer Nyla, which appears on Major Lazer's third studio album Peace Is the Mission. A remixed dancehall version of the song, to which additional vocals from British-Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Fuse ODG were added, was included on a re-released version of Peace Is the Mission and released as the album's third single overall on November 5, 2015.
"Promises" is a song by Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris and English singer-songwriter Sam Smith. It was released by Columbia Records and Sony Music on 17 August 2018, and included on Smith's third studio album Love Goes (2020), and Harris' first compilation album, 96 Months (2024). Both artists co-wrote the song with Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, who also provided additional vocals to the song, while the song's production was handled solely by Harris. It reached number one on the UK Singles Chart on 7 September 2018, having debuted at number four two weeks earlier. It became Harris' tenth British chart-topper and Smith's seventh. In the United States, the single became Harris' twelfth and Smith's first number-one on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart in its 6 October 2018 issue.
