Lukas Kwasniok (born 12 June 1981) is a Polish-German professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of 2. Bundesliga club SC Paderborn. [1]
On 4 December 2016, Kwasniok was announced as the interim replacement for Tomas Oral at Karlsruher SC, as the club were struggling in the 2. Bundesliga, [2] and replaced on 22 December 2016. [3]
On 9 December 2018, he was named head coach of Carl Zeiss Jena. [4] He was sacked on 28 September 2019. [5]
In December 2019, he was announced as the new manager of 1. FC Saarbrücken starting on 1 January 2020. [6] He announced that he would leave after the 2020–21 season. [7]
On 17 May 2021, 2. Bundesliga club SC Paderborn announced Kwasniok as head coach, succeeding Steffen Baumgart until 2023. [8]

FC Carl Zeiss Jena is a German football club based in Jena, Thuringia. Founded in 1903 it was initially associated with the company Carl Zeiss. From the 1960s to the 1980s it was one of the top-ranked clubs in East Germany, won the DDR-Oberliga and the FDGB-Pokal three times each and reached the 1981 European Cup Winners' Cup Final. Since the German reunification in 1990, the club has competed no higher than the second tier. Since the 2021–22 season, Jena is playing in the Regionalliga Nordost.
The 1993–94 DFB-Pokal was the 51st season of the annual German football cup competition. 76 teams competed in the tournament of seven rounds which began on 1 August 1993 and ended on 14 May 1994. In the final Werder Bremen defeated Rot-Weiß Essen 3–1 thereby claiming their third title.
The 2008–09 3. Liga was the inaugural season for the newly formed tier III of the German football league system. The inaugural game was played on 25 July 2008 between FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt and Dynamo Dresden, ending with a 1–0 win for Dresden. The last games were played on 23 May 2009. 1. FC Union Berlin were the inaugural champions, securing first place on 10 May 2009. Runners-up Fortuna Düsseldorf were also promoted. Third-placed team SC Paderborn 07 played a relegation/promotion play-off against the 16th-placed team from 2. Bundesliga, VfL Osnabrück, winning both games and earning promotion. Kickers Emden, VfR Aalen, and Stuttgarter Kickers were relegated to the Regionalliga.
