Wonder Boy in Monster Land, known by its original arcade release as Wonder Boy: Monster Land, is a platform video game developed by Westone Bit Entertainment and released by Sega in Japanese arcades in 1987 and for the Master System in 1988, with a number of other home computer and console ports following. The game is the sequel to the 1986 game Wonder Boy and takes place eleven years after the events in the previous game. After enjoying over a decade of peace on Wonder Land following the defeat of the evil King by Tom-Tom, later bestowed the title "Wonder Boy", a fire-breathing dragon called the MEKA dragon appeared; he and his minions conquered Wonder Land, turning it into "Monster Land". The people, helpless due to their lack of fighting skill, call for Wonder Boy, now a teenager, to destroy the monsters and defeat the MEKA dragon. Players control Wonder Boy through twelve linear levels as he makes his way through Monster Land to find and defeat the MEKA dragon. Players earn gold by defeating enemies and buy weapons, armor, footwear, magic, and other items to help along the way.

Minoria is an indie Metroidvania game developed by Brazilian studio Bombservice and published by DANGEN Entertainment. It was released on August 27, 2019, for Windows, and on September 10, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It is a spiritual sequel to the Momodora series with 2.5D graphics. It has a similar gothic horror tone as Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight and revolves around warrior nuns who are sent into the ruins of the Kingdom of Ramezia to free Princesses who were kidnapped by heretical witches. The game received mixed reviews from critics, who praised it for its combat mechanics and graphics, but criticized it for its "uneven" quality and short length.
Fantasian is a 2021 role-playing video game developed and published by Mistwalker for Apple devices via the Apple Arcade platform. The game was released in two parts on April 1 and August 13, 2021. The story follows Leo, an amnesiac who ends up traveling multiple worlds becoming involved in a conflict between the forces of order and chaos. Gameplay has Leo and his party exploring different environments from an overhead perspective, engaging in turn-based combat. Felvidek is an indie role-playing video game developed by Jozef Pavelka and Vlado Ganaj, and published by Tutto Passa. It was released for Windows on March 29, 2024. Developed in the RPG Maker engine, its gameplay resembles that of a JRPG, but it is set in an alternate history region of Earth called the Slovakian Highlands in a low fantasy version of the Middle Ages. It is realistic, but low-resolution and heavily-dithered monotone graphics are styled after the fifth generation era of consoles. The game was positively received overall, with its unique setting, story and characters being praised. Its short length and basic gameplay had a more mixed reception.
