Stockholm Central Station, is the main railway station in Stockholm, and largest railway station in Sweden in terms of passenger numbers and train traffic. It is located in the Norrmalm district of central Stockholm on Vasagatan, extending from Vattugatan in the south to Kungsbron in the north. The station opened on 18 July 1871. Since 2001, the station building has been owned and managed by Jernhusen, while the platforms and tracks are overseen by the Swedish Transport Administration. The City Tunnel is a 11-kilometre rail link in Malmö, Sweden, running between Malmö Central Station and the Öresund Bridge, of which six kilometres under Malmö city centre is in a tunnel, to increase capacity on the Skåne County network by changing Malmö C from a terminus to a through station. Including necessary connections to other railways it is 17 km (11 mi). It is a part of the Öresund Line to Copenhagen Central Station. The work was projected to cost 9.45 billion SEK. Construction began in March 2005, and the line was inaugurated by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden on 4 December 2010. Revenue service commenced on 12 December 2010.

Øresundståg is a passenger train network operated by Transdev in the transnational Øresund Region of Denmark and Sweden. The name is a hybrid of the Danish Øresundstog and the Swedish Öresundståg, both meaning "Øresund train". The rolling stock, also known as Class ET in Denmark and X31K in Sweden, are electric passenger trainsets in the Flexliner family.
The West Link is a railway project under construction in Gothenburg, Sweden. It consists of 8 kilometers of railway, including 6 kilometers of tunnel, including three new underground stations: Centralen, Haga and Korsvägen. The purpose of the project is to increase capacity and reduce travel times for commuter and regional trains.

Östersund Central Station or Östersund C is the main railway station serving Östersund, Sweden. It is located on the Middle Line (Mittbananand) and the Inland Line (Inlandsbanan) and is served by SJ, Norrtåg, Snälltåget and Inlandsbanan- Trains leave for Stockholm a couple of times per day and once a day by Inlandsbanan to Gällivare or to Mora. Norrtåg run regional train services from the station many times per day, west to Åre, Duved or Storlien, or east to Ånge and Sundsvall.
The HH Tunnel is a proposed series of tunnels under Øresund between Helsingborg in Sweden and Helsingør in Denmark. The connection is planned for passenger trains, and other proposals for the tunnels include freight rail and road tunnels.
The Sundsvall Central Station is a railway station in Sundsvall, Sweden. It was designed by architect Folke Zettervall and opened December 17, 1925. There was a nearby predecessor built in 1874 for Sundsvall–Torpshammar Railway, still remaining as a building. The 1925 station was built for the opening of the East Coast Line.
