Ma Boyong (born 14 November 1980) is a Chinese novelist, columnist and blogger. [3] [4] In the year of 2010, he won People's Literature Prize, one of China's most prestigious honors.

The City of Silence

His short storyThe City of Silence was translated into English by science fiction writer Ken Liu. [5] That translation is truer to the original author's intent then the Chinese version, which was self-censored. Ironically, the theme of that story is censorship; the setting of the Chinese version is fictional version of the New York City, while the English version takes place in a more neutral "Capital of the State", more easily invoking the comparison with China, that the author intended. [6]

The 1st Fighter Brigade, sometimes called 1st Air Brigade, previously 1st Fighter Division, is a fighter aircraft unit of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) based at Xianyang in Shaanxi province. Part of the Northern Theater Command Air Force, the brigade was originally established as the first division level formation of the PLAAF, established 19 June 1950. In the Korean War the unit shot down 92 airplanes. It was the first in PLAAF history to fight in air combat, provide close air support, perform night bombing operations and more. It is also the only air brigade of the People's Liberation Army Air Force to participate in five Chinese national day parades. The unit's MUCD is 93056.

Cao Shui born June 5, 1982, also known as Shawn Cao, courtesy name Yaou (Eurasian), pseudonym or haoLord of Tower of Babel, is a Chinese poet, novelist, screenwriter and translator. He is one of the representative figures of Chinese Contemporary Literature. He leads the great poemism movement. In his Declaration of Great Poem, he aims to integrate sacred and secular cultures, oriental and occidental cultures, ancient and modern cultures in Chinese literature. His most notable works include the Epic of Eurasia, Secret of Heaven (trilogy), and King Peacock. His works are dedicated to rebuilding a republic in which the whole humanity can live in freedom, which he always described as Eurasia, the Top of the Tower of Babel or Kunlun Mountains. As of 2024, 46 books of Cao Shui have been published, including 10 poem collections, 4 essay collections, 10 novels, 18 fairy tales，4 translations and one hundred episodes TV series and films. He is a member of China Writers' Association, China Film Association, and World Poetry Movement. His works have been translated into 26 languages by 2024. He is also the editor-in-chief of Great Poem and deputy editor-in-chief of World Poetry. Currently he lives in Beijing as a professional writer and screenwriter.

The Chen Bochui Children's Literature Award (陈伯吹儿童文学奖) is a major award issued in China, with the aim of promoting excellence in children's publishing and cultural diversity. It was originally called the Children's Literary Garden Prize (儿童文学园丁奖), then the Chen Bochui Children's Literature Award from 1988. The first awards were given in 1981, and were awarded every two years. It was renamed as the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award (陈伯吹国际儿童文学奖), and since 2014 has been held annually. It is named after the author, translator, journalist and educator Chen Bochui (1906-1997), who translated Pushkin’s Children’s Tales, The Wizard of Oz, and Don Quixote into Chinese for the first time in the 1940s, and who donated his life savings to establish this award. It is the longest continuously running literary prize in China.

Jidi Majia is a Chinese poet and a lieutenant governor of Qinghai from 2006 to 2010. He was born in 1961 and belongs to an ethnic minority of China, the Yi. He has published numerous poetic anthologies since the 1980s and has won national literature awards, is also considered one of the greatest poets of minorities in China. He is the President of the China Minority Literary Association and Permanent Vice-President of the China Poets' Association.
