Hema Malini Dharmendra Deol also known as 'Dream Girl' of 90s is an Indian actress, director, producer, and politician who is currently serving as a member of the Lok Sabha from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), representing Mathura constituency since 2014. She was a member of the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka from 2011 to 2012, subsequent to her nomination to that chamber from 2003 to 2009 as a member of the BJP. Primarily known for her work in Hindi films, she has starred in both comic and dramatic roles, and is one of the most popular and successful leading actresses of mainstream Hindi cinema.
The Filmfare Award for Best Actress is given by Filmfare as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films, to recognise the female performer who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role. The award was first given in 1954 for the films released in the preceding year 1953.
Dimple Kapadia is an Indian actress predominantly appearing in Hindi films. Born and raised in Mumbai by wealthy parents, she aspired to become an actress from a young age and received her first opportunity through her father's efforts to launch her in the film industry. She was discovered at age 14 by the filmmaker Raj Kapoor, who cast her in the title role of his teen romance Bobby (1973), which opened to major commercial success and gained her wide public recognition. Shortly before the film's release in 1973, she married the actor Rajesh Khanna and quit acting. Their daughters, Twinkle and Rinke Khanna, both briefly worked as actresses in their youth. Kapadia returned to films in 1984, two years after her separation from Khanna. Her comeback film Saagar, which was released a year later, revived her career. Both Bobby and Saagar won her Filmfare Awards for Best Actress. Through her work over the next decade, she established herself as one of Hindi cinema's leading actresses.
Ramesh Sippy is an Indian film director, actor and producer in Hindi cinema. He is particularly known for being director in Sholay (1975), which is regarded as one of the most influential films ever made in India. The Government of India honoured him with Padma Shri in 2013.
Vinod Khanna was an Indian actor, film producer and politician who is best known for his work in Hindi films; while also being a notable spiritual seeker. In Bollywood, he was the recipient of two Filmfare awards. Khanna was considered a style & fashion icon, often referred as 'Sexy Sanyasi' in media. After joining politics, he became the MP from the Gurdaspur constituency between 1998–2009 and 2014–2017. In July 2002, Khanna became the minister for Culture and Tourism in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee cabinet. Six months later, he became the Minister of State for External Affairs.
Khoon Ka Karz is a 1991 Indian Hindi-language action crime film directed by Mukul S. Anand. It stars Vinod Khanna, Rajinikanth, Sanjay Dutt, Dimple Kapadia, Kimi Katkar, Sangeeta Bijlani and Kader Khan. The film deals with three individuals who are arrested for infringements under the Indian Penal Code: Karan, Kishan (Rajinikanth) and Arjun recount to the court how two of them were adopted and nursed by a saintly woman and how they fall in love with three women. It was dubbed and released in Tamil as Arasan: The Don in 2009, eighteen years after its original release.
Mehbooba is a 1976 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film based on the reincarnation theme, produced by Mushir-Riaz and directed by Shakti Samanta. The film stars Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini and Prem Chopra in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Rahul Dev Burman. The film is noted for an impressive performance by the lead pair and for its haunting melodies such as "Mere Naina Sawan Bhadon" sung separately by both Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, "Chalo Ri" and the duet "Parbat Ke Peeche". The movie is based on Gulshan Nanda's novel Sisakate Saaz. Nanda has also written the screenplay. Upon release, the movie was a silver jubilee hit in many territories though it did not do too well in Mumbai. The film has gained cult status over the years.
Lahu Ke Do Rang is a 1979 Hindi movie directed by Mahesh Bhatt. This was his first movie as director. The film stars Vinod Khanna, Shabana Azmi, Danny Denzongpa, Helen, Ranjeet. The music and lyrics for the film are by Bappi Lahiri and Farooq Qaiser respectively.
Lekin... (transl. But...) is a 1991 Hindi drama mystery film, loosely based on the 1895 short story Kshudhit Pashaan by Rabindranath Tagore and directed by Gulzar. It stars Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Amjad Khan, Alok Nath, and Beena Banerjee, and features a special appearance by Hema Malini. The film tells the story of Reva, a restless ghost who seeks liberation and haunts the ancient palace of Raja Param Singh in Rajasthan when she is discovered by Sameer, a museum curator sent by the government to salvage valuables in the region. As she recreates a visual representation of the history of the palace which reveals her tragic story, Sameer becomes determined to help set her free.
Meera is a 1979 Hindi language film by Gulzar. The film is based on the life of Meera, a Hindu saint-poet who renounced princely comforts in pursuit of her love for Lord Krishna.
Himalay Putra is a 1997 Indian Hindi-language romance film directed by Pankaj Parashar, starring Vinod Khanna, Hema Malini, Johnny Lever, Satish Shah, Danny Denzongpa, Amrish Puri and Rocky Grover. It introduced Akshaye Khanna, Anjala Zaveri and Shazia Malik. It was the only time Vinod Khanna and his son Akshaye Khanna appeared in a film together.

Aatank (English: Terror) is a 1996 Indian action thriller film written by Sachin Bhowmick and directed by Prem Lalwani and Desh Mukherjee. The film stars Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Vinod Mehra in the lead roles. The film began principal photography in the mid-1980s and was delayed for several years before being released in 1996. A sub-plot with a killer shark may have been inspired by the Hollywood film Jaws.
Bees Saal Baad is a 1989 Hindi-language Indian horror film directed by Rajkumar Kohli, starring Mithun Chakraborty, Dimple Kapadia, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Vinod Mehra, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Om Prakash.The film was a superhit at the box office.
Insaaf (transl. Justice) is a 1987 Bollywood action film directed by Mukul Anand, starring Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia and Suresh Oberoi. The film was remade in Tamil as Chinnappadass with Sathyaraj. The film was the comeback film of Khanna after a hiatus.

Zooni is an unreleased Indian Hindi-language film directed by Muzaffar Ali, starring Vinod Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. The film was in production from 1988 and was expected to be released in 1990. A film restoration undertaking was announced in 2024.
