Maciste all'inferno is an album by French heavy metal band Gojira. The album was recorded live while a projection of the movie Maciste all'inferno (1925) was running at the Rock School Barbey in Bordeaux on 29 May 2003. The album contains fifteen songs, about 50 minutes in length.
On 30 October 2020, Gojira shared a studio performance of a track called "Inferno", as extracted from the album, in Joe Duplantier's Silver Cord Studio. [2]

Gojira is a French heavy metal band from Ondres. Founded as Godzilla in 1996, the band's lineup—brothers Joe and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu, and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass)—has been the same since the band changed its name to Gojira in 2001. Gojira has been known for their progressive and technical death metal styles and their spiritual, philosophical, and environmentally-themed lyrics. The band has gone "from the utmost obscurity during the first half of their career to widespread global recognition in the second".

It is a concept album addressing environmental issues and the rebirth of a dead planet through a space travel storyline, with the underlying theme of a transition from war to peace. The album was released on 13 October 2008 in Europe via Listenable Records and on 14 October in the US through Prosthetic Records. Magma was recorded at the band's studio in New York City, and was produced by Joe Duplantier, mixed by Johann Meyer and mastered by Ted Jensen. The album has been noted as a stylistic departure from the band's previous albums, featuring a more accessible atmospheric sound and more prominent use of clean vocals. Magma was dedicated to the Duplantier brothers' mother, Patricia, who died during the recording of the album in 2015.
