Macomb Correctional Facility (MRF) is a Michigan prison, located in Lenox Township, for adult male prisoners.
The prison was opened in 1993 and has eleven major and two minor buildings, totaling approximately 300,000 square feet (28,000 m2), on 100 acres (40 ha) with a capacity of 1416 prisoners. [1] It has seven housing units currently used for Michigan Department of Corrections male prisoners 18 years of age and older. One of the housing units is used for Level I (lower level security) prisoners, four housing units for Level II prisoners, and two housing units for Level IV (higher level security) prisoners. Four other buildings provide for education, support services, storage, and prison administration. [2]
The facility is surrounded by three 12 feet (3.7 m) chain link fences with razor-ribbon wire. Electronic detection systems and patrol vehicles are also utilized to maintain perimeter security. Two gun towers were added in 1997. [2] In 2019, press reports indicated the towers are manned only intermittently. [3]
The facility offers education programs and community volunteer programs. [4] Onsite medical and dental care is supplemented by local community providers and the Duane L. Waters Hospital in Jackson, Michigan. [2]

They also have the largest contract to house federal inmates with serious, violent histories. The prison has never had an escape, and only one homicide.

Pontiac Correctional Center, established in June 1871, is an Illinois Department of Corrections maximum security prison for adult males in Pontiac, Illinois. The prison also has a medium security unit that houses medium to minimum security inmates and is classified as Level 3. Until the 2011 abolition of the death penalty in Illinois, the prison housed male death row inmates, but had no execution chamber. Inmates were executed at the Tamms Correctional Center. Although the capacity of the prison is 2172, it has an average daily population of approximately 2000 inmates.
The Riverbend Maximum Security Institution (RMSI) is a prison in Nashville, Tennessee, operated by the Tennessee Department of Correction. The prison opened in 1989 and replaced its 100-year-old neighbor, the Tennessee State Penitentiary. RMSI, which is made up by 20 different buildings, sits on 132 acres (0.53 km2) located off Cockrill Bend Boulevard in Nashville. Riverbend's designated capacity is 714 offenders. USP Florence High is part of the Federal Correctional Complex, Florence, which is situated on 49 acres (20 ha) of land and houses different facilities with varying degrees of security. It is named "Florence High" in order to differentiate it from the United States Penitentiary, Florence ADMAX, the federal supermax prison located in the same complex.
