Made in Cape Breton is the first of three albums by the Celtic band The Cottars. Recorded at Lakewind Sound Studios in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and released in 2002 by Warner Music.
All traditional songs and tunes were adapted and arranged by Allister MacGillivray and The Cottars.
Battlefield Band were a Scottish traditional music group. Founded in Glasgow in 1969, they have released over 30 albums and undergone many changes of lineup. As of 2010, none of the original founders remain in the band.
Reawakening Pride Once Lost is the debut studio album by the Northern Irish Celtic metal band Waylander, released in 1998 by Century Media. Cape Breton fiddling is a regional violin style which falls within the Celtic music idiom. Cape Breton Island's fiddle music was brought to North America by Scottish immigrants during the Highland Clearances. These Scottish immigrants were primarily from Gaelic-speaking regions in the Scottish Highlands and the Outer Hebrides. Although fiddling has changed considerably since this time in Scotland, it is widely held that the tradition of Scottish fiddle music has been better preserved in Cape Breton.

At Home is an album by Irish-American folk group Cherish the Ladies that was released in 1999 on the RCA label. It contains a combination of traditional Irish folk songs, such as the Irish language "Is Fada Liom Uaimí Uaimí," and purely instrumental numbers, including jigs, reels, and airs. Bobby and Liam Clancy of The Clancy Brothers made guest appearances on the album. One of the members of Cherish the Ladies, Aoife Clancy, was the daughter of Bobby and the niece of Liam. Her brother, Finbarr Clancy, sings with them on "John o' Dreams," while her cousin Dónal Clancy accompanies them on guitar. This was the second-to-last album on which any of the Clancy Brothers appeared together.
