Mahadi Faisal is a Bangladeshi singer and composer. [1] [2] [3] He has released several albums and singles. [4] He participated in the reality competition series for children, Notun Kuri, on Bangladesh Television (BTV) in 1995. [1] In 2005, he participated in another musical reality show, Close Up-1. [5] [6] He launched his first album, titled Bondona in 2007, under the banner of Gaanchill Music. [7] The lyrics of the album were penned by Asif Iqbal and composed by Prince Mahmud. The song "Tumi Boruna Hole Hobo Ami Sunil" from this album became popular. [1] After that, he released singles "Shunil Boruna", "Megh Hoye Kado Bole", "Malik Rabbana", "Projapoti", "Chole Jeo Na" "Chele Manushi Bayna", "Antohin", "Antohin-2", "Keu Bojhe Toh Keu Bojhe Na" etc. [8] [9] [10]

Musical career

Mahadi Faisal's musical career started at a very young age. In 2007, Mahadi released his first album, Bondona, under the banner of Gaanchill Music. The lyrics of the album were written by Asif Iqbal and the music was composed by Prince Mahmud. He followed it up with more albums, including Antohin (a duet with Elita Karim), Onnorokom, and Antohin 2. [11] [12]

He has also lent his voice for several mixed projects, live shows, and singles. His latest single was with musician Minar, titled "Keu Bojhe Toh Keu Bojhe Na" was released in 2018. [13] [14]

In 2020, four artistes Mahadi Faisal, Elita Karim, Porshi and Mahtim Shakib sang the song together to motivate the fight against coronavirus titled "Jokhon Juddhe Achhi". The song is written by Asif Iqbal, composed by Shahbaz Khan Pilu. [15] [16] Prior to this the production company Ganchil has created a number of songs about coronavirus. Singer Mahadi Faisal was in overall management of the whole project. [17] [18]

In 2023 On the occasion of Mother's Day, Aranya Anwar's film Ma  [ bn ], Momtaz's song "Sonar Kathi Rupar Kathi" was Written by Mahi Flora and jointly composed by Mahadi and Muntasir Tusher. [19] [20]

"Ore Neel Doriya Amay De Re De Chhariya" is a Bengali film song from 1978 released Bangladeshi movie Sareng Bou. The song is penned by Mukul Chowdhury and is considered as one of the evergreen compositions of Bangladeshi Music. Originally composed and produced by Alam Khan and recorded on Abdul Jabbar's voice. The song is filmed on a theme where a sailor man's wife is dreaming about her husband's home coming. Farooque has acted as sailor captain in this film, who carry out the song. This film's director Abdullah Al Mamun has filmed this song's opening on a running train, second verses on a Bangladeshi Sampan and filming of the final verses has taken place on a human trail.

Sabbir Nasir is a Bangladeshi singer, composer, songwriter. He works on folk fusion, indie pop and blues music. He started performing on stage at the age of 16. He was the vocalist and the lead guitarist of different bands. His last band, Metamorphosis published their first and last album in 1998. Since 1998 till 2018, Sabbir was out of the musical scene. He started singing again in 2018 at the studios and on stages and some of his folk and Blues songs became very much popular among Bangladeshi and Indian Audience. Some of his top Folk singles are "Binodini Rai" which is a duet song, sung along with Sampa Biswas from India, "Amare Dia Dilam Tomare", "Tumi Dome Dom" etc. He got CJFB Award in 2020 for his Single "Horsho". He was recognized with Safekeeper Channel i Digital Award in 2021 for his song "Amare Dia Dilam Tomare". In 2021, for his single "Adha" he won the bronze award in the Male singer category at the Global Music Awards program, organised by a California-based organisation. His first English single "Drowning" was featured in various international magazines.

Golui is a 2022 Bangladeshi periodical romantic film directed by SA Haque Alik and co-produced by Khorshed Alam Khosru. It has been made on the basis of the traditional boat race of rural Bengal and the life of the people of a vast village. The film stars Shakib Khan, Puja Cherry, Azizul Hakim and Suchorita in the lead roles. "Eshwar" is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language duet song sung by Akib Zaman Riyad and composed by Prince Mahmud from the 2023 soundtrack album Priyotoma of the film of the same name, starring Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul. The song is written by Shomeshwar Oli, which released on 29 June 2023, the film's release date. The music video for the song was released on the same day under the music label Tiger Media.
