Dr. Mahendra Munjpara is an Indian politician who served as the Minister of State for AYUSH and Minister of State for Woman and Child Development in the Second Modi ministry from 7 July 2021 until 9 June 2024. [2] He is member of parliament to the 17th Lok Sabha from Surendranagar constituency,Gujarat. He won the 2019 general election as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. Before his political career,he has been a practicing doctor in Surendranagar as a Cardiologist and Echocardiologist. [3] [4] Munjapara belong to Koli community of Gujarat. [5]

With 834 million registered voters,they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 election. The results of the election were announced on 23 May 2019 and this led to the formation of the 17th Lok Sabha. The oath ceremony was arranged in the courtyards of Rashtrapati Bhavan at Raisina Hill. The heads of the states of BIMSTEC countries were invited as guests of honor for this ceremony.
