Makoto Takagaki (born 24 December 1973) is a Japanese snowboarder. He competed in the men's halfpipe event at the 1998 Winter Olympics. [1]

He won a silver medal at the 2006 World Wrestling Championships in Guangzhou, China, and eventually defeated Japan's Makoto Sasamoto for the gold in his division at the 2007 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. He also added a bronze medal to his collection from the 2005 European Wrestling Championships in Varna, Bulgaria. Bedinadze is a member of the wrestling team for Dynamo Tbilisi, and is coached and trained by Vaza Gravishvili.
Makoto Sasamoto is an amateur Japanese Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's lightweight category. He is a three-time Olympian, a two-time Asian Games medalist, and a bronze medalist at the 2005 Asian Wrestling Championships in Wuhan, China. He also won a silver medal for his division at the 2007 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, losing out to Georgia's David Bedinadze. Sasamoto is a member of the wrestling team for Sogokeibi Sports Club in Tokyo, and is coached and trained by Hideo Fujimoto.
Makoto Tomizawa is a Japanese windsurfer, who specialized in Neil Pryde RS:X class. He represented Japan in two editions of the Olympic Games and has been currently training for Kanto Auto Works Sailing Team in Kanagawa Prefecture under his personal coach Kazuto Seki. As of September 2013, Tomizawa is ranked no. 42 in the world for the sailboard class by the International Sailing Federation.
Makoto Iijima is a Japanese former professional road and track cyclist. Considered one of Japan's most successful cyclists in his decade, Iijima has claimed a total of nine track cycling medals at the Asian Championships, two silvers at the Asian Games, and three national time trial titles at the Japanese Championships. He also represented his nation Japan in three editions of the Olympic Games. He announced his retirement from professional cycling in October 2010 as a member of the Bridgestone–Anchor team.

He competed at the 1964 and 1972 Summer Olympics with the best individual result of 17th place on parallel bars in 1972. Domestically he won the AAU titles in the all-around and horizontal bar in 1963, in the all-around in 1964, and in all seven events in 1965.
