Mangal Pandey is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language action film, produced and directed by Harmesh Malhotra. It starred Shatrughan Sinha, Parveen Babi in lead roles.
Abused by his step-mother; Rajmer, Jaipur-based young Mangal faces more trauma when his father Havaldar Rajnath Pandey is shot dead by Daku Lal Singh. He then gets separated from his sister, Deepa, who is adopted by a drug dealer, Kulbhushan, who re-names him 'Tiger'; and then joins hands with criminal don, Jaganlal. Then he gets into a confrontation with Police Inspector Vijay Shukla and ends up killing him. Police launch a manhunt and ultimately come to the conclusion that he was killed in a train accident. He does survive and takes this opportunity to return home. He will be welcomed by a recently widowed Deepa but will face the shock of finding out that he was not only responsible for her widowhood but also had a hand in the abduction and subsequent trauma of his nephew, Munna.

Shaan is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language action crime film directed by Ramesh Sippy and produced by G. P. Sippy under the production banner of Sippy Films with a story written by Salim–Javed after the blockbuster success of their previous venture, Sholay (1975). The film was released in India on 12 December 1980 and stars an ensemble cast of Sunil Dutt, Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Raakhee Gulzar, Parveen Babi, Bindiya Goswami, Johnny Walker and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The music was composed by R. D. Burman. The film follows the murder of a police officer, Shiv (Dutt), whose two conmen brothers, Vijay (Bachchan) and Ravi (Kapoor), reform and join hands with a marksman, Rakesh (Sinha), to seek revenge from the culprit that is the invincible Shakaal (Kharbanda).

It was remade in Tamil as Sattam with Kamal Haasan.

Adaalat returned for its second season on Sony Entertainment Television on 4 June 2016 and ended on 4 September 2016. The show aired 26 episodes in its second season.
