Manifest! is the only album from American band Friends, released in June 2012 on the Fat Possum label in the United States and on the Lucky Number label in Europe.
The album was recorded between Summer 2011 and Spring 2012 and produced by the band with the assistance of engineer Daniel Schlett at Strange Weather studios in Brooklyn. The tracks were mixed by the band and Schlett with the exception of "Mind Control" which was mixed by the band and Paul Epworth. [1] The album includes two tracks that were released as singles in 2011, "I'm His Girl" and "Friend Crush", as well as third single "Mind Control". [2]
The album was released on June 4, 2012 outside the United States and on June 5 in the US. A limited special edition exclusive to Rough Trade stores in the UK included a second disc with five extra tracks.
The album's cover art was designed by singer Samantha Urbani and Erez Avissar, and features a stereoscopic image of the band. [1]

Like several other reviewers, Michael Hann of The Guardian commented on the album's "pick'n'mix approach to New York's musical history". [5]
The album was described in a review for the BBC by Nick Levine as "generally impressive".
The album was positively received by the NME , with Lisa Wright rating it 8/10 and describing it as "louche, cool, and wickedly and exuberantly playful". [7] Allmusic reviewer Tim Sendra gave the album a four stars out of five, calling it "a loose-limbed, dancefloor-filling jam with songs that are tropically inspired, sweet-spirited, and fun" and noted the "unusual and memorable" lyrics. [3] The List 's Jonny Ensall described Manifest! as an "insidiously hooky album". [6] Liz Pelly, writing in The Boston Phoenix , called it "the best pop album of the summer". [4] Rolling Stone gave it a 3.5 star rating. [9]

Early in 2010, Pritchard announced the departure of drummer Paul Garred, due to a nerve problem in his arm. Late in the year, Garred rejoined for studio sessions, however Chris Prendergast played drums when the band played live. Garred finally left in November 2011 after the release of their fourth album, Junk of the Heart.

Overexposed is the fourth studio album by the American band Maroon 5. It was released on June 20, 2012, by A&M Octone Records. Pinegrove is an American rock band formed in Montclair, New Jersey in 2010. The band's lineup is variable, with singer-songwriter Evan Stephens Hall and drummer Zack Levine representing its "core" members. The two met as children and played in various bands before founding Pinegrove. The band's musical style, which uses instruments such as the banjo and pedal steel guitar, is commonly described as a mix between alternative country and emo. Pinegrove spent its early years self-releasing its music—including their debut album, Meridian, in 2012—and performing do-it-yourself (DIY) house shows.

Meridian is the debut studio album by American rock band Pinegrove, self-released on February 29, 2012. Pinegrove, formed in Montclair, New Jersey two years earlier, spent its early years self-recording its music at home. Meridian offers eight songs, including fan favorite "Recycling", that showcase its mix of alternative country and emo. All of its contents were composed by the band's frontman, singer-songwriter Evan Stephens Hall. He and drummer Zack Levine founded the group. Meridian also features contributions from occasional band members Nick Levine, Aidan Feliciano, and Nandi Rose Plunkett.
