Incheon, formerly Jemulpo or Chemulp'o (제물포) until the period after 1910, officially the Incheon Metropolitan City, is a city located in northwestern South Korea, bordering Seoul and Gyeonggi to the east. Inhabited since the Neolithic, Incheon was home to just 4,700 people when it became an international port in 1883. Today, about 3 million people live in the city, making it South Korea's third-most-populous city after Seoul and Busan.
The Gyeongin Line (Gyeonginseon) is a railway mainline in South Korea, currently connecting Guro station in Seoul and Incheon. Commuter services along the line through operates into Seoul Subway Line 1.
Bucheon is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Bucheon is located 25 kilometers (16 mi) away from Seoul, of which it is a satellite city. It is located between Incheon and Seoul.
Seoul Subway Line 7 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway was built from 1990 to 1996 and was completed on August 1, 2000 ; the western section between Sinpung and Onsu was put into service on February 29, 2000. AREX is a South Korean airport rail link and commuter rail line that links Incheon International Airport with Seoul Station via Gimpo International Airport.

Namdong District (Namdong-gu) is a municipal district in Incheon, South Korea. Namdong-gu has been the city centre of Incheon since 1985. It is the location for Incheon Metropolitan City Hall, Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency main offices, the Namdong Industrial Complex, and Gil Hospital & Gachon Medical School. There is a large shopping district close to the City Hall and Grand Theater containing 3 large department stores, many restaurants and bars and the 2.68 km (1.67 mi) long Jung-Ang city park.

Woninjae Station is a commuter train station on Line 1 of the Incheon Subway and the Suin–Bundang Line of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. The station became a transfer point to the above-ground Suin Line in July 2012. The platforms of these two lines are located far apart, requiring passengers to walk a long distance when transferring.
Juan station is a subway station on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1 and Incheon Subway Line 2. This station receives the second-highest number of crowds along the entire Incheon line due to its proximity to the downtown area. It is also near Inha University and Inha Technical College.
Dongincheon Station is a railway station on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1 and Gyeongin Line located in Inhyeon-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. Upon its opening in 1899, the station was known as "Chukhyeon Station", and in 1955, received its current name. The subway service started in 1974.

Seongnam Station (석남역) is a subway station on Incheon Subway Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 7. It first opened as a station on Incheon Subway Line 2 solely in 2016, and Seoul Subway Line 7 opened in May 2021. Despite their identical spelling in the Roman script, the station is not located in the city of Seongnam (성남) southeast of Seoul, as their names in Hangul differ by one letter.
