Among other achievements, Mostafa Mansour was the nation's first competitor in sprint canoeing while fencer Shaimaa El-Gammal became the first Egyptian female to appear in four editions of the Olympics.
Desislava Balabanova is a Bulgarian sport shooter. Balabanova represented Bulgaria at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in two rifle shooting events. She placed twenty-sixth out of forty-seven shooters in the women's 10 m air rifle, with a total score of 393 points. Nearly a week later, Balabanova competed for her second event, 50 m rifle 3 positions, where she was able to shoot 192 targets in a kneeling position, and 191 each in prone and in standing, for a total score of 574 points, finishing only in twenty-eighth place.
Toshikazu Yamashita is a Japanese sport shooter. Yamashita represented Japan at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for all three rifle shooting events.
Thanyalak Chotphibunsin is a Thai sport shooter. Chotphibunsin represented Thailand at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in two rifle shooting events, along with her teammate Sasithorn Hongprasert. She placed fortieth out of forty-seven shooters in the women's 10 m air rifle, with a total score of 388 points. Nearly a week later, Chotphibunsin competed for her second event, 50 m rifle 3 positions, where she was able to shoot 200 targets in a prone position, 178 in standing, and 191 in kneeling, for a total score of 569 points, finishing only in thirty-fifth place.
Natalia Zamora Lara is a Mexican sport shooter. Zamora represented Mexico at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in the women's 50 m rifle 3 positions. She was able to shoot 193 targets in a prone position, 190 in standing, and 186 in kneeling, for a total score of 569 points, finishing only in thirty-sixth place.
Onni Hynninen was a Finnish sports shooter. He competed in the 50 m rifle event at the 1948 Summer Olympics.
Anna Louise Wilson is a United States-born Olympic swimmer from New Zealand.
Khleif Ayyat was a Jordanian Olympic sports shooter. He represented Jordan at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Ayyat died on September 5, 2022, aged 92.
