Mari Eifring (born 19 January 1987,in Oslo) is a Norwegian politician of the Red Party. In 2012 she was elected the party's secretary. [1] She was the leader of Red Youth from 2008 until 2010. [2] [3] She had been a member of Red Youth's Central Board since 2006.
The Socialist Left Party is a democratic socialist political party in Norway. Positioned on the left-wing of the political spectrum,it is opposed to European Union and the European Economic Area membership. SV supports a strong public sector,stronger social welfare programs,environmentalism,and republicanism. As of 2018,the party has 11,385 members;the number has steadily increased since a low point in 2015. The party leader is Kirsti Bergstø,who was elected on 18 March 2023
Red Electoral Alliance was an alliance of far-left groups formed into a Norwegian political party to promote revolutionary socialism ideals into the Norwegian parliament. The party dissolved itself on 10 March 2007,when it participated in the founding of a new party,Red (Rødt).
Klassekampen is a Norwegian daily newspaper in print and online. Its tagline is "The daily newspaper of the Left." The paper's net circulation is 33,265 (2022),and it has around 111,000 daily readers on paper. This makes it the third largest Norwegian print newspaper,based on readership. Red Youth is a Norwegian youth organisation. It is the youth wing of the Red Party,which was formed from a merger of the Red Electoral Alliance and the Workers' Communist Party in March 2007. The current leader of Red Youth is Liv Müller Smith-Sivertsen.
Erling Folkvord was a Norwegian politician for the Red party,and a member of the Parliament of Norway. A revolutionary socialist,he was one of the leading members of the Workers' Communist Party and the Red Electoral Alliance before they merged to form Red. He sat as a member of the Parliament of Norway from 1993 to 1997,becoming the first socialist to the left of the Socialist Left Party and the Labour Party in parliament since 1961. He later lost his position in 1997 and was a candidate for parliament until his death. He was a member of the Oslo City Council from 1983 to 1993,and again from 1999. Folkvord became one of the best-known Norwegian politicians on the left who was not connected with the Labour Party and the Socialist Left Party.
Ali Esbati is an Iranian-Swedish politician of the Left Party,member of the Riksdag and economist,and was the chairman of Young Left from 2001 to 2004. He is also the economic spokesperson for the Left Party since February 2022. He became famous for his blogging;his blog Esbatis kommentarer was at one time one of the most popular Swedish political blogs.
SOS Rasisme was a Norwegian organisation,whose stated goal was to "fight racism and nazism." It was founded in 1985,as the Norwegian sister organisation of the French SOS Racisme. It went bankrupt in 2013 after being convicted of defrauding the government and the Norwegian Children and Youth Council by reporting grossly exaggerated membership figures in order to obtain public funding. The police subsequently opened an investigation of the organisation and indicted ten of its key officials for fraud,embezzlement and money laundering.

The Red Party is a communist political party in Norway. It was founded in March 2007 by a merger of the Red Electoral Alliance and the Workers' Communist Party. A Marxist party,it has been described as left-wing and far-left on the political spectrum. In its political programme,the Red Party sets the creation of a classless society to be its ultimate goal,which the party says is "what Karl Marx called communism". The party's other goals are replacing capitalism with socialism,an expansive public sector and nationalisation of large enterprises. It has a revolutionary socialist ideology,which aims towards new legislatures taking power on behalf of the workers,though the party does not support violent armed revolution as espoused by its predecessors in the 1970s and 1980s. It strongly opposes Norway becoming a member of the European Union.
Audun Bjørlo Lysbakken is a Norwegian politician who served as the leader of the Norwegian Socialist Left Party from 2012 to 2023. His career in national politics began when he was elected to the Norwegian parliament in 2001. In 2006,he became deputy leader of the Socialist Left Party. He held the post as Minister of Children and Equality in Jens Stoltenberg's second government from October 2009 to March 2012,when he resigned due to a conflict of interest. Under his leadership,the Socialist Left Party had strong gains in its vote share in Parliamentary elections and membership.
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 13 and 14 September 2009. Elections in Norway are held on a Monday in September,usually the second or third Monday,as determined by the king. Early voting was possible between 10 August and 11 September 2009,while some municipalities also held open voting on 13 September. Voters elected 169 members for the Storting,each for a four-year term. Voter turn-out in the 2009 general elections was 76.4%.

Serve the People –Communist League is a Norwegian communist organization formed in 1998 by expelled members of the Workers' Communist Party. It aims to establish a new communist party in Norway based on Marxism–Leninism–Maoism. Its youth wing is the Revolutionary Communist Youth,which was created after a split from Red Youth,the youth wing of the Red Party,who it deems as revisionist.
Åsmund Grøver Aukrust is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He is member of Parliament from Akershus county,first elected at the Norwegian parliament election in 2013. He was the deputy leader of the Workers' Youth League (AUF) from 2010 to 2014. He was also deputy member of the Parliament of Norway for the term 2009–2013.

Aksel Nærstad was a Norwegian political activist and advisor. He chaired the Red Electoral Alliance from 1987 to 1995. From 1995 to 1997 he chaired the board of the newspaper Klassekampen. He chaired the Norwegian Social Forum /Globaliseringskonferansen from first forum in 2001 and for eight years. He was also the first chair of the Norwegian Trade Campaign from 2003 until 2012,and was still a member of the board. He was senior policy advisor in the Norwegian NGO,the Development Fund. He was also international coordinator of the More and Better Network,a global network of farmers' and fisherfolks' organizations and NGOs.
Kristján Mímir Kristjánsson is a Norwegian politician representing the Red Party. He is currently a member of the Storting for Rogaland since 2021. He was formerly a city councilor in Stavanger and a political journalist for Klassekampen.
