Maria Fricioiu (later Simion, born 16 March 1960) is a retired Romanian rower. Competing in coxed fours she won an Olympic gold medal in 1984 and three medals at the world championships in 1979, 1983 and 1985. [2] [3]
Angela Alupei is a Romanian Olympic rower, born in Bacău, Romania. She has been rowing since she was 17 years of age. When not competing, she is a police officer.
Adriana Bazon-Chelariu is a retired Romanian rower. She competed at the 1984, 1988 and 1992 Olympics and five world championships between 1985 and 1991 and won 10 medals, including three world championship gold medals and three Olympic silver medals. At the 1987 World Rowing Championships, she still competed under her maiden name and at the 1988 Olympics, she started under her married name.
Iulică Ruican is a retired Romanian rower. He competed in coxed fours and eights at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics and won a gold and a silver medal in 1992. At the 1996 Olympics he served as a flag bearer for Romania at the opening ceremony. At the world championships he won seven medals between 1993 and 1998, including three gold medals.
Rodica Maria Şerban, née Florea is a Romanian rower. She achieved success in women's eight, where she won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics, bronze at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 2005 World Rowing Championships.
Daniela Druncea is a Romanian rowing coxswain and retired artistic gymnast. As a gymnast, she is a world bronze medalist with the team and was an alternate to the 2008 Romanian Olympic team. As a rower, she won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Aurel Vernescu was a Romanian sprint canoeist. He competed at the 1960, 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympics and won three medals with a silver in 1972 in the K-4 1000 m and two bronze medals in 1964 in the K-1 1000 m and K-4 1000 m events. He served as a flag bearer for Romania at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympics.
Atanase Sciotnic was a Romanian sprint canoeist. He took part in the two-man and four man events at most major competitions between 1963 and 1974 and won two Olympic and nine world championships medals, including four gold medals.
Maria Ştefan is a retired Romanian canoe sprinter who competed at the 1976, 1980 and 1984 Olympics. She won a gold medal in the K-4 500 m event in 1984 and placed fourth-fifth in the singles in 1976 and 1980. She won three bronze medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, one each in the K-1 500 m (1983), the K-2 500 m (1981), and the K-4 500 m (1983) events. Her sister-in-law Maria Nichiforov is also a former Olympic canoer.

Doina Robu is a retired Romanian rower who won a silver medal at the 1992 Olympics. She also won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the world championships between 1986 and 1993. She is married to the Olympic rower Valentin Robu. She competed at the 1990 World Rowing Championships under her married name.
Andreea Grecu is a Romanian sprinter and bobsledder.
Mădălina Bereș is a Romanian rower. She competed in the coxless pair and the women's eight event at the 2016 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the women eight event. She is also World and European champion.
