Molina was born in Nicaragua and grew up in Hialeah, Florida. [3] [4] She is a graduate of Barbara Goleman Senior High School. [3] She attributes her interest in meteorology to her experience with Category 5 Hurricane Andrew, which hit her hometown in South Florida when she was 5 years old. [5]
Molina graduated cum laude from Florida State University in 2008, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology and minors in mathematics and communications. [1] [6] While at Florida State University, she completed the University Honors Program and the Honors in the Major Program requirements. [7]
Additionally, she graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2015 with a Masters of Arts degree in Climate and Society. [7]
She earned her PhD from Central Michigan University in the Earth and Ecosystem Science Doctoral Program, where she was also a graduate research assistant. [8] [9]
Molina has earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society (AMS). [1]
Molina joined Fox News in October 2010. [1] She provided weather updates on many Fox shows and appeared regularly on the FOX & Friends morning show, [1] until leaving the station for graduate school in September 2016. [8] She was credited as being the youngest meteorologist on cable in 2012. [6] While at Fox News, she also appeared on the Fox Business, Fox News Radio, Fox News Latino, and Fox Sports Networks. [7]

She was an Advanced Study Program (ASP) postdoctoral fellow at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. [9]
In December 2015, she married storm chaser Reed Timmer at the Masaya Volcano National Park in Nicaragua. [11]
A meteorologist is a scientist who studies and works in the field of meteorology aiming to understand or predict Earth's atmospheric phenomena including the weather. Those who study meteorological phenomena are meteorologists in research, while those using mathematical models and knowledge to prepare daily weather forecasts are called weather forecasters or operational meteorologists.
Stephanie Abrams is an American television meteorologist who has worked for The Weather Channel (TWC) since 2003. She currently co-hosts America's Morning Headquarters with Jim Cantore and Jordan Steele early weekday mornings, as well as Pattrn alongside Steele. She was also employed by NBC News and occasionally appeared on NBC Nightly News, Today and MSNBC.
Edward Norton Lorenz was an American mathematician and meteorologist who established the theoretical basis of weather and climate predictability, as well as the basis for computer-aided atmospheric physics and meteorology. He is best known as the founder of modern chaos theory, a branch of mathematics focusing on the behavior of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions.
Michael Bettes is an American television meteorologist and storm chaser who works for The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a co-host of AMHQ: America's Morning Headquarters. He hosts Weather Underground TV. Bettes has been an on-camera meteorologist for TWC since 2003, and is also an occasional fill-in weather anchor on The Today Show.
Timothy Patrick Marshall is an American structural and forensic engineer as well as meteorologist, concentrating on damage analysis, particularly that from wind, hail, and other weather phenomena. He is also a pioneering storm chaser and was editor of Storm Track magazine.
Maria LaRosa is an American meteorologist. Since July 2019, she has worked as a meteorologist on WNBC-TV New York and is a substitute weather presenter on NBC's Today.
Amy Elizabeth Freeze is an American television meteorologist. She was previously a co-anchor of Weather Command on Fox Weather. Freeze left Fox Weather in 2024.

The show was canceled at the end of its 5th season by Discovery Communications on January 21, 2012.
Harold Edward Brooks is an American meteorologist whose research is concentrated on severe convective storms and tornadoes, particularly severe weather climatology, as well as weather forecasting.
Reed Timmer is an American meteorologist and storm chaser. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he took an interest in science, including weather, at a young age, before experiencing severe weather, including a hailstorm at age 13. After presenting weather forecasts at his high school, he began studying meteorology at the University of Oklahoma, completing his PhD in 2015.
