Maria Stella Masocco (born 17 March 1948) is a former Italian discus thrower and shot putter. [2]
She is the mother of the volleyball players Guendalina and Veronica Buffon as well as the former goalkeeper of the national football team Gianluigi Buffon. [3]
Her personal bests, 57.54 m set in 1973, at the end of the 2020 outdoor season is still the 8th best all-time performance of the Italian lists. [1] She sets national record as in shot put as in discus throw. [1]
Masocco won three national championships at individual senior level. [4] [5]
Assunta Legnante is a visually impaired Italian shot putter. She has competed in both the Olympics and the Paralympics, one of the few athletes to do so. As of February 2013, she is the current F11 shot put world record holder. She competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, in Women's discus throw F11, and Women's shot put F12, winning silver medals.

In 2021, at the U.S. Olympic Trials he threw 23.37 m to break Randy Barnes's 31-year-old record of 23.12 m by almost 10 inches (25 cm). Crouser is also a two-time World Champion and the World Championship Record holder in the shot put 23.51m, just 2+1⁄2 in off his world record.
