Marionette is the debut extended play (EP) by South Korean girl group Stellar. It was released on February 12, 2014, with the lead single "Marionette" used to promote the EP. "Marionette" became their best-selling single, peaking at number 35 and 34 on the Gaon and Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 charts, respectively. [1] [2]

Background and release

In January 2014, The Entertainment Pascal announced Stellar would release a debut mini album. On February 11, 2014, they posted the first teaser for Marionette.

On February 12, 2014, Stellar released the video for their debut album's title song, "Marionette".

Rainbow was a South Korean girl group formed in 2009 by DSP Media. The group is composed of seven members: Woori, Seungah, Jaekyung, Noeul, Yoonhye, Jisook and Hyunyoung. They released their debut EP Gossip Girl on November 12, 2009, and since released two studio albums and five extended plays, In October 2016, DSP Media announced that Rainbow would disband after seven years because their contracts expired. In November 2019, the group was re-formed for their tenth anniversary.

Alive is the fifth Korean extended play by South Korean boy group Big Bang, released through YG Entertainment on February 29, 2012. Musically, it is a dance and electronic record that incorporates elements of hip hop and R&B. BigBang members G-Dragon and T.O.P wrote and produced the lyrics and music for nearly all tracks on the album. Alive spawned three digital singles that were released within the week prior—"Blue", "Fantastic Baby", and "Bad Boy", all three of which peaked within the top three positions on the Gaon Digital Chart.

<i>Hello</i> (Mamamoo EP) 2014 EP by Mamamoo

Hello is the debut extended play by South Korean girl group Mamamoo. It was released by WA Entertainment on June 18, 2014 and distributed by CJ E&M Music. It contains seven songs, including the single "Mr. Ambiguous", which was used to promote the album. The album was preceded by three additional singles—collaborations with Bumkey, K.Will and Wheesung, and Geeks. The album is a mix of musical styles, including R&B, hip hop, and funk.

"Marionette" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Stellar for their first EP of the same name. It was released as the album's second single on February 12, 2014. The song was subject of controversy due to its provocative choreography, which was censored on many music shows. It is Stellar's best-selling single thus far, having reached the top 40 on the Gaon Digital Chart.
