Mark O'Donovan (born 7 November 1988) is an Irish lightweight rower. He won a gold medal at the 2017 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida in the lightweight men's coxless pair. [1]
Skibbereen is a town in County Cork, Ireland. It is located in West Cork on the N71 national secondary road. The River Ilen runs through the town; it reaches the sea about 12 kilometres away, at the seaside village of Baltimore. As of the 2022 census, the population of the town was 2,903. At the same Olympics, her third cousin Paul O'Donovan also won a gold medal for rowing in the lightweight double sculls. Along with her team-mates, she was named as the Irish Times/Sport Ireland Sportswoman for July 2021.
