Nathan John Astle is a former New Zealand cricketer,who played all formats of the game. A right-handed batsman who played as an opener in One Day Internationals (ODI),while batting in the middle order in Test matches. In a career that spanned 12 years,Astle played 81 Tests and 223 ODIs accumulating 4,702 and 7,090 runs respectively. As of 2013,he is New Zealand's second-most prolific run scorer. Astle collected 154 wickets with his medium-paced bowling at the international level. He holds two records –scoring the fastest double century in Test cricket and the second highest individual score in the fourth innings of a Test match. Both the records were achieved when he made 222 against England in Christchurch in 2002.
Craig Douglas McMillan is a New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer who played all forms of the game. The India cricket team toured New Zealand in January and February 2019 to play five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI fixtures were part of both teams' preparation for the 2019 Cricket World Cup,with India winning the series 4–1. The T20I matches took place on the same day as the corresponding women's fixtures at the same venues. New Zealand won the T20I series 2–1,and ended India's run of ten T20I series without defeat. It was the first time that India had lost a T20I bilateral series of three or more matches.
The 2018–19 Plunket Shield was the 90th season of the Plunket Shield,the domestic first-class cricket competition in New Zealand. It took place between October 2018 and March 2019. Unlike the previous edition of the competition,the tournament featured eight rounds of matches,instead of ten. Central Districts were the defending champions. Up to eleven international players,including New Zealand's captain Kane Williamson,were available for the opening round of the tournament.
The 2019–20 Plunket Shield was the 91st season of the Plunket Shield,the domestic first-class cricket competition in New Zealand. It took place between October 2019 and March 2020. As per the previous edition of the competition,the tournament was scheduled to feature eight rounds of matches. Central Districts were the defending champions.
