Mark Rendell (born 6 June 1969) is a cyclist from New Zealand.
In 1993 during the third stage at the Milk race Rendall was in a breakaway which made it to the finish line where he was beaten by Matt Postle by a slim margin of two seconds. [1] At the 1994 Commonwealth Games at Victoria he won a gold medal in the road race and a bronze medal in the team time trial. [2] Until the 2022 Commonwealth Games Rendall was the last kiwi to earn a gold medal in road cycling at the games. [3] [4] As a former student of Rotorua Boys' High School after Rendall won his gold medal he was inducted into the Rotorua Boys' hall of fame. [5]
Commonwealth Games road race 
Gregory Henderson is a New Zealand former professional track and road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2002 and 2017. His career includes winning the 15-kilometre (9.3-mile) scratch race at the 2004 world championships and, in road cycling, winning the points competition at the Tour de Georgia in 2005 and 2008.
Julian Dean is a former professional road racing cyclist from New Zealand who competed as a professional between 1999 and 2013. He last rode for UCI World Tour team Orica–GreenEDGE, where he now works as an assistant sporting director and mentor. His main achievements include winning the 2007 and 2008 New Zealand National Road Race Championships, finishing 9th in the 2005 World Road Championships in Madrid, 10th place in the 2002 World Road Championships in Zolder and finishing second in Grand Tour stages four times. At the peak of his career he was considered the best lead out rider in the world, and was highly regarded by his teammate and friend Thor Hushovd.
Brian Andrew Fowler is a retired cyclist who represented New Zealand at four consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1984. In 1983, he rode Paris–Nice finishing 43rd.
Timothy Gudsell is a retired New Zealand track and road racing cyclist who last rode for the PureBlack Racing team. Gudsell turned professional in 2007 and after retiring in 2012 runs a Cycling tour company.
Bruce William Biddle is a former road racing cyclist from New Zealand, who was a professional rider from 1974 to 1979. He won the gold medal in the men's individual road race at the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Hayden Roulston is a former New Zealand professional racing cyclist. He won the silver medal in the men's 4000 m individual pursuit and a bronze medal in the men's 4000 m team pursuit at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He won the New Zealand road cycling championships on four occasions, the Tour of Southland on three occasions and came tenth in the 2010 edition of Paris - Roubaix.
Linda Melanie Villumsen Serup is a Danish-born road racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI Women's Team Team Virtu Cycling. Villumsen became a New Zealand citizen in 2009 and has ridden under a Kiwi licence from 2010.
Samuel Ryan Bewley is an amateur podcast host and former professional racing cyclist from New Zealand who last rode for UCI WorldTeam Team BikeExchange–Jayco. He also competed for UCI ProTeam Team RadioShack and BikeNZ PureBlack Racing. He competed in nine Grand Tours, including five starts at the Vuelta a España and three starts at the Giro d'Italia. Bewley made his sole Tour de France appearance in the 2020 edition, before retiring from professional cycling at the end of 2022.
Peter David Latham is a New Zealand former professional racing cyclist. He competed in the team pursuit at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where New Zealand finished tenth. In 2005, Latham won the bronze medal in the Under 23 Individual Time Trial at the Road World Championships in Madrid. He competed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne where along with Tim Gudsell, Hayden Godfrey and Marc Ryan he won a bronze medal in the Team pursuit.
Hans Jacob Bauer is a New Zealand former professional road racing cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2010 to 2023.
Hamish Bryon Bond is a retired New Zealand rower and former road cyclist. He is a three-time Olympic gold medallist at the 2012 London Olympic Games, the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, and at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. He won six consecutive World Rowing Championships gold medals in the coxless pair and set the current world best times in both the coxless and coxed pair. He made a successful transition from rowing to road cycling after the 2016 Summer Olympics, focussing on the road time trial and winning a medal at the Commonwealth Games. He returned to rowing for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, winning a gold medal in the men's eight. In 2024 he was a cyclor in the Team New Zealand team which successfully defended the America's cup.
Michael Vink is a New Zealand professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates XRG. He was signed by UAE Team Emirates XRG on the strength of his results in the virtual cycling platform ‘MyWhoosh’.
Aaron Gate is a New Zealand road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Burgos Burpellet BH. He represented his country in track cycling at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. Gate is the first New Zealand athlete to win four gold medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
Samuel William Gaze is a New Zealand cross-country and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Alpecin–Deceuninck. He won the under-23 Cross-Country at the 2016 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships and the 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. He also competes on occasion in road racing events, winning the National Criterium Championships in 2017 and 2018.
Mark Stewart is a Scottish road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Toscana Factory Team Vini Fantini. Representing Great Britain and Scotland at international competitions, Stewart won the bronze medal at the 2016 UEC European Track Championships in the team pursuit.
Campbell Stewart is a New Zealand professional track and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Team Jayco–AlUla. He represented his country at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, gaining two silver medals in the scratch race and points race, and the 2020 Summer Olympics, gaining a silver medal in the omnium.
Bryony Botha is a New Zealand road and track cyclist. On the 7th of August 2024 she won a silver medal in the team pursuit during the 2024 summer Olympic Games with Ally Wollaston, Emily Shearman and Nicole Shields.
Corbin Strong is a New Zealand road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Israel–Premier Tech. He won the points race and finished second in the team pursuit at the 2020 UCI Track Cycling World Championships.
Ally Wollaston is a New Zealand professional track racing cyclist and road cyclist riding for AG Insurance–Soudal–Quick-Step. She was a double-medallist at the 2024 Paris Olympics and is the first New Zealand rider to win two titles at the same track World Championships.
Kevin Edward Blackwell was a New Zealand road and track cyclist who won a silver medal in the team pursuit representing his country at the 1978 Commonwealth Games.
