The Mark of a Killer (or simply Mark of a Killer) is an American true crime television series currently airing on the Oxygen Network. The program examines the disturbing behaviors of serial killers. As of Season 3, the series is currently titled Mark of a Serial Killer.

Synopsis

Each 45 minutes-long episode follows the story of an investigation guided by the killer's postmortem signature and features first-hand accounts from detectives and prosecutors who worked on the cases, interviews with criminal psychology experts and with family members and friends of the victims or the perpetrators. [1]

The show has regular participants criminal psychologists/experts, like: Katherine Ramsland, Joni E. Johnston and Mark Safarik. Other experts are also appearing in the series for one-one episode like Michael H. Stone or Dayle Hinman. [2]

In the early hours of August 13, 2018, in Frederick, Colorado, American oil field operator Christopher Lee Watts murdered his pregnant wife Shanann (34) by strangulation, and their two children Bella (4) and Celeste (3) by smothering them. He buried Shanann in a shallow grave near an oil-storage facility, and dumped his children's bodies into crude oil tanks. Watts initially maintained his innocence in his family’s disappearance, but was arrested on August 15, after confessing in an interview with detectives to murdering Shanann. He later admitted to murdering his children.

Smiley Face Killers: The Hunt for Justice is an American television docuseries that originally aired from January 19 to February 23, 2019 on Oxygen. It examines possible victims of the smiley-face murder theory. Produced by Alison Dammann, the six episodes focus on cases of young men who have disappeared and whose bodies are found in a body of water some time later.

<i>Chucky</i> (TV series) 2021 American horror television series

Chucky is an American horror television series created by Don Mancini and based on the Child's Play film franchise. George Waterfield Russell Jr., known as The Charmer, is an American thief and serial killer responsible for the murders of three women in Seattle over the summer in 1990. After killing his victims, he would mutilate and have sex with the corpses, leaving the bodies posed in bizarre positions at the crime scene. For his crimes, he was sentenced to two life imprisonment terms, and is currently imprisoned at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.
