Péter Rusorán was a Hungarian swimmer, water polo player and later water polo coach. As a player, he won the Olympic Games gold medal in 1964 and the bronze in 1960 and also obtained the Universiade title in 1965. As a coach, Rusorán won a number of national league titles both in Hungary and abroad and also triumphed on two occasions in the most prestigious continental competition, the European Champions Cup.

Andro Bušlje is a Croatian water polo player who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he was part of the Croatian team that won the gold medal. He is right-handed and plays the center defender position. From 2016 to 2019 he played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League. He started playing water polo at the age of 12, and he made his national team debut in 2005. Bušlje is one of the top defenders in the world.
Josip Pavić is a Croatian water polo player who competed in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, winning the gold medal in 2012 and the silver in 2016. He was widely regarded as the best goalkeeper in the 2012 Olympic tournament. He was named the best world water polo player in 2012, by FINA.
Yevgeny Sharonov is a Russian former water polo player who competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics, in the 1988 Summer Olympics, and in the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Thomas Karalogos is a Greek former water polo player who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics, in the 1972 Summer Olympics, and in the 1980 Summer Olympics. He played at club level for Greek tradition water polo club Ethnikos Piraeus from 1966 to 1986 winning 19 Greek Championships and reaching the European Cup final four in 1980, the first time a Greek water polo team reached the final stage of the tournament.
Ioannis Garifallos is a Greek former water polo player who competed in the 1980 Summer Olympics. He played for Greek powerhouse Ethnikos Piraeus. He is the son of “Patriarch of Greek water polo” Andreas Garyfallos. He played in the 70s and 80s winning 16 Greek championships with his childhood club Ethnikos.

Milivoj Bebić is a retired Croatian water polo player. He won a silver Olympic gold medal winner with Yugoslavia at the 1980 Summer Olympics and a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
