Mars is the first full-length studio album released by Japanese solo artist Gackt. It was released on April 26,2000.
The album was released on April 26,2000,by Nippon Crown. In the second counting week of May,it reached number three on the Oricon charts,with sales of 153,500 copies. In the upcoming week,it was at the number sixteen,with sales of 23,540 copies. It charted for only five weeks. [2] Since its release,the album has sold more than 200,000 copies.[ citation needed ] It was certified gold by RIAJ in 2000. [3]
Preceding the release of the album was the release of three singles,"Vanilla","Mirror",and "Oasis". The first single,"Vanilla",is one of Gackt's most popular and commercially successful songs. It reached number four on the fourth counting week of August 1999,with sales of 104,650 copies. In the upcoming three weeks,it was at number thirteen two times,and fifteen,with sales of 40,990,and 31,810,and 22,440 copies. It charted for ten weeks. [4] With 248,360 copies sold,it was the 89th best-selling single of the year,and it was certified Gold by RIAJ. [3] The single was later re-released in 2002. It charted for six weeks,reaching number twelve,with sales of 19,220 copies. [4]
The second single,"Mirror",reached number nine on the third counting week of February 2000,with sales of 76,690 copies. It charted for 6 weeks, [4] and sold over 116,770 copies. The third single,"Oasis",reached number seven on the fourth counting week of February 2000,with sales of 84,690 copies. It charted for 6 weeks, [4] and sold over 126,280 copies.
Mars ~Sora Kara no Hōmon-sha~ Kaisō (MARS 〜空からの訪問者〜回想,lit. "Mars:A Visitor from the Sky (Flashbacks)") was the first live tour of Gackt. It was released on VHS on October 4,2000,and on DVD on November 11,2000. Lawson sold a special backstage report titled Mars ~Sora Kara no Hōmon-sha~ Kiseki on November 27,2000. The VHS contained making-of videos for all of the special screens used in the show. The video recording of the final concert was filmed on June 1,2000,at the Yokohama Arena.

Duty is the third studio album by Japanese recording artist Ayumi Hamasaki. It was released on September 27, 2000, by Avex Trax. Duty is Hamasaki's first studio album inside the 2000 decade, and her third consecutive studio album to be fully produced by Japanese musician and businessman Max Matsuura. The album's composing and arrangement was handled by several music collaborators, such as Ken Harada, Kazuhito Kikuchi, Dai Nagao, HΛL, among many others. Hamasaki contributed to the album as the primary and background vocalist, and songwriter to every song. Three different formats were released to promote the album: a standalone CD, a limited edition Playbutton, and a digital download. The cover sleeve has Hamasaki wearing a leopard-print cat suit.
"Mizérable" is the debut extended-play or mini album of Japanese singer-songwriter Gackt, released on May 12, 1999, by Nippon Crown. It marked his solo debut, four months after he left Malice Mizer, immediately gaining success reaching second position on the Oricon Albums Chart.

The album collects the artist's previous single's title songs, some of them having been re-recorded for this release. The Sixth Day complements The Seventh Night, an unplugged album released three months later.
The Seventh Night: Unplugged is a compilation album released by Gackt on May 26, 2004. It contains acoustic arrangements of previously released songs and complements The Sixth Day, a single collection released three months earlier. The unplugged theme of The Seventh Night would be continued by Gackt's subsequent album, Love Letter.
Rebirth is the second full-length studio album released by Japanese solo artist Gackt on April 25, 2001. It is conceptually linked to its successor Re:born from 2009.
Moon is the third full-length studio album released by Japanese solo artist Gackt on June 19, 2002. Instead of a booklet, the album comes with a printed note by the artist, asking readers to "sense" the record's story, rather than analyzing the lyrics. The booklet was eventually included in the packaging of Moon's 2003 follow-up Crescent. Both albums are conceptually linked, as well as his more recent albums Diabolos and Last Moon from the "Moon Saga".
Crescent is the fourth full-length studio album released by Japanese solo artist Gackt on December 3, 2003. It is conceptually linked to its predecessor Moon and comes with booklets for both records. Crescent also features a duet with L'Arc-en-Ciel vocalist Hyde for "Orenji no Taiyou" with whom Gackt co-starred in the 2003 movie Moon Child.
Love Letter is the fifth full-length studio album originally released by Japanese solo artist Gackt on February 14, 2005 in Japan. A Korean language edition, titled Love Letter - For Korean Dears, was released on June 16 of the same year. It continues the unplugged theme of the earlier compilation album The Seventh Night but consists of new material, save for the song "Dears", originally from his album Mars, and "Etude", originally from the demo tape by his indie band Cains:Feel.
Diabolos is the sixth full-length studio album released by Japanese solo artist Gackt on September 21, 2005 in Japan, and on October 26, 2007, in eighteen countries across Europe. Conceptually, it is a sequel entrant to the "Moon Saga" found in the eighth studio album Last Moon and theatre play Mysteries of Yoshitsune I&II, as well prequel to his third and fourth studio albums, Moon and Crescent, the film Moon Child, and novel Moon Child Requiem.

In 1997, Misia signed a recording contract with BMG Japan and joined the then up-and-coming talent agency, Rhythmedia. Misia's first remix album, Misia Remix 2000 Little Tokyo, was released three months later and shot to number one. It sold over 800,000 copies and is the second best-selling remix album of all time in Japan.
"Metamorphoze" is a single released by Gackt on May 25, 2005 under Nippon Crown. It peaked at second place on the Oricon weekly chart and charted for thirteen weeks. In 2005, it was the 62nd best selling single of the year, with sales of 156,709 copies, making it to be Gackt's fourth best selling single. Both, A-side and B-side are also featured in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam movie Heir to the Stars. The music video combines footage from the anime with live-action sequences of Gackt piloting in a UC 0093 spacesuit and linear seat. It was certified gold by RIAJ.
0079–0088 is a compilation album released by Gackt on December 19, 2007. It contains eight tracks, which had either previously been used on the soundtracks of the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam movies or were covers of earlier songs from the Gundam franchise.
"Kimi ni Aitakute" (君に逢いたくて) is a single released by Gackt on October 27, 2004 under Nippon Crown. It peaked at second place on the Oricon weekly chart and charted for seventeen weeks. In 2004, it was the 96th best selling single of the year, with sales of 98,335 copies. It ultimately sold 124,280 copies, making it Gackt's ninth best selling single. It was certified gold by RIAJ.
"Jet Coaster Love" is the third Japanese single of South Korean girl group Kara. The single was originally set to be released on March 23, 2011, but following the 2011 Great Tohoku Earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, the physical single was rescheduled to April 6, 2011. In order to help out the areas affected by the disaster, the group had decided to donate all proceeds from the sales of this single, both physical and digital, to relief efforts. It eventually became the group's first single to reach #1 on Oricon Daily and Weekly charts.

"Sakura" is the 45th single by Japanese boy band Arashi. It was released on February 25, 2015 under their record label J Storm. "Sakura" was used as the theme song for the television drama Ouroborous, starring actors Toma Ikuta and Shun Oguri. The single was released in two editions: a first press/limited edition and a regular edition. The first press/limited edition contains the B-side "Rise and Shine" and the music video and making-of for "Sakura" while the regular edition contains two B-sides. The single sold 465,381 copies in its first week and topped the weekly Oricon Singles Chart. With over 520,000 copies sold, the single was certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). The single placed 11th on Oricon's 2015 yearly singles ranking.
Japonism is the fourteenth studio album of the Japanese idol group Arashi. The album was released on October 21, 2015 under their record label J Storm in three editions: a first press/limited edition, a Yoitoko limited edition, and a regular edition. The first press edition comes with an 84-page photo lyrics booklet and bonus DVD with the music video and making-of for the album's lead track, "Kokoro no Sora". The Yoitoko limited edition comes with a 32-page lyrics booklet, and the regular edition comes with a 36-page lyrics booklet. The album sold over 820,000 copies in its first week and topped the Oricon charts for two consecutive weeks.
