Hendrika "Rie" Wilhelmina Mastenbroek was a Dutch swimmer and a triple Olympic champion.
Kristin Otto is a German Olympic swimming champion. She is most famous for being the first woman to win six gold medals at a single Olympic Games, doing so at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. In long course, she held the world records in the 100 meter and 200 meter freestyle events. Otto was also the first woman to swim the short course 100 meter backstroke in under a minute, doing so at an international short course meet at Indiana University in 1983.
Karin Balzer was an East German hurdler who competed in the 80 m hurdles event at the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Olympics, and in the 100 m hurdles in 1972. She won a gold medal in 1964 and a bronze in 1972, while finishing fifth in 1968. During her career she set 37 world's best performances.
Novella Calligaris is a retired Italian swimmer, and the first Italian to win an Olympic medal in swimming. Her elder brother Mauro Calligaris was also an Olympic swimmer.
Robert George Windle is an Australian freestyle swimmer of the 1960s, who won four Olympic medals, including an individual gold medal. Windle won the 1500 m freestyle and took bronze in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and silver and bronze in the 4 × 200 m and 4 × 100 m freestyle relays respectively at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Known for his versatility, he is the only male swimmer to represent Australia at the Olympics in all freestyle distances from 100 m to 1500 m. During his career, Windle set six world records and won six Commonwealth Games gold medals. He won 19 Australian championships in all distances from 220 yd to 1650 yd.
Catherine Plewinski is a former freestyle and butterfly swimmer from France, who won two bronze medals at the Summer Olympics. She first did so in Seoul at the 1988 Summer Olympics in the 100 m freestyle. Four years later she captured the bronze in the 100 m butterfly at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
Roland Matthes was a German swimmer and the most successful backstroke swimmer of all time. Between April 1967 and August 1974 he won all backstroke competitions he entered. He won four European championships and three world championships in a row, and swam 19 world and 28 European records in various backstroke, butterfly and medley events. He was trained by Marlies Grohe.
Margaret Joyce Cooper, later known by her married name Joyce Badcock, was an English competitive swimmer who represented Great Britain at the Olympics and European championships, and England at the British Empire Games, during the late 1920s and early 1930s.
Gabriele Wetzko is a former German swimmer. Born in Leipzig, East Germany, she competed for East Germany in the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics.
Judit Turóczy is a former freestyle swimmer from Hungary, who competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for her native country, starting in 1964.
Andrea Eife is a German former swimmer who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics. She won a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay and finished fifth and sixth in the individual 200 m and 100 m freestyle events, respectively. At the 1973 World Aquatics Championships, she won a bronze medal in the 200 m freestyle and a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay, breaking the world record. The next year, she repeated these medal achievements at the 1974 European Aquatics Championships.
Heidi Pechstein is a German former swimmer. She competed in the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay in 1960. In 1964 she finished sixth with the German team in the same event.
Svetlana Viktorovna Babanina is a retired Soviet swimmer who competed at the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics. In 1964, she won bronze medals in the 4 × 100 m medley relay and 200 m individual breaststroke, whereas in 1968 she finished in seventh and sixth place in the 100 m and 200 m breaststroke, respectively. Babanina won the 200 m event at the 1965 Universiade; she competed at the European Championships in 1962 and 1966, but did not medal. Domestically she won five titles: in the 400 m individual medley, 4 × 100 m freestyle relay (1963) and 100 m and 200 m breaststroke (1964). In 1964–1965 she set two world records in the 100 m breaststroke.
Nataliya Andreyevna Ustinova is an Uzbekistani former swimmer. She competed at the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics in the individual 100 m freestyle and 4 × 100 m relays and won a bronze medal in 1964 in the 4 × 100 m medley relay. She was part of the Soviet team that won the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 1966 European Aquatics Championships, setting a new European record. Between 1962 and 1968 she collected 16 national titles in the 100 m and 200 m freestyle and in relays.
Tamara Mikhaylovna Sosnova was a Soviet freestyle swimmer who won two medals at the 1966 European Aquatics Championships. She also competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics but did not reach the finals. Between 1964 and 1968 she won 10 national championships and set 21 national records in 100 m (1), 200 m (4), 400 m (8), 800 m (3), 1500 m (1) and freestyle relays (4).
Willemina Hendrika "Ineke" Tigelaar is a Dutch former freestyle swimmer who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics. She won four medals at the 1962 European Aquatics Championships, including one gold in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. Between 1961 and 1964 she won six national titles in the 100 m, 400 m and 1500 m freestyle events. In 1962 and 1964 she was part of the Dutch teams that set new European records in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.

Elisabeth Ingrid Ljunggren-Morris is a retired Swedish freestyle swimmer won a bronze medal over 400 m at the 1962 European Aquatics Championships. She competed at the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics in the 400 m, 800 m and 4 × 100 m relay with the best achievement of eighth place over 400 m in 1968.
Diana Elizabeth Wilkinson is a retired British freestyle swimmer. She competed in the British Empire and Commonwealth Games from 1958 to 1966, the 1958 and 1962 European Aquatics Championships, and the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics.
Albertha "Bep" Weeteling is a retired Dutch swimmer who won a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 1966 European Aquatics Championships. She also competed in four freestyle and backstroke disciplines at the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics but was eliminated in the preliminaries. She won two silver medals at the 1965 Summer Universiade, in the 400 m freestyle and 100 m backstroke.
