Senate Primary Election

The primary election was held on June 26, 2018 to elect candidates to all 47 seats in the Maryland Senate. [1] Two incumbent Democrats lost to primary challengers: Cory McCray, a Delegate in the Maryland House, defeated Nathaniel J. McFadden, who was the Senate President Pro Tempore, and Antonio Hayes, also a Delegate, defeated Barbara A. Robinson. [1]
